No, Thank You!

I’ll continue to fly the old fashioned way: inside the plane, full of Dramamine and over-priced Airport Lounge Martinis! :)

Gee, an 'observation dome'. We used to have those on the passenger trains....
(For those of us old enough to remember)

I would rather be able to see the ground. Much more interesting.

Sounds like a hell of a kidney flush.

Seems like a gimmick considering the cost to add it to an already high price for a new jet.

I’d have to be unconscious.

Maybe the idea came from a few Battle Of The Planets reruns.

How many can they install per plane and how much does it weaken the fuselage?

Gonna need a full-featured joystick with some AMRAAM and Sidewinder missiles. Oh yeah, IFF, too. That would help.

I remember riding on steam engine passenger trains in the forties. When the engine first started pulling, there was still slack in all the couplings. You could hear the snaps coming from cars nearer the engine as, one by one, their couplers pulled taut. Then, bang, you got yours, and began a slow roll. From some reason, diesels just start rolling.

It would be awesome on a clear night at cruising altitude.

Can you imagine how hot it would get without 40,000 ft of atmosphere to help filter out the sunlight. Can you say flashburns.

Not bad ... but I think I’d prefer the ball turret.

JAL has a forward-looking camera that gives a pilot’s-eye view of take offs and landings (the landings are really neat, they switch the camera on when the airport is just a tiny speck on the screen). My stepson, who isn’t a happy flier, hates it.

EIGHT MILLION to retro-fit two seats? You’ve got to be kidding me. I’ve got a sawzall and a cold-pack of beer...
