I was listening to Mark Steyn filling in for Rush Limbaugh when he mentioned that Erick Erickson would be the fillin host tomorrow. Erickson is the guy who disinvited Donald Trump from the Red State Gathering and invited Megyn Kelly to speak in his place. Rumor had it that he was prodded by Fox News contributor Kirsten Powers, who ironically wrote a book on how the left's intolerance towards opposing views is shutting down debate.
The pimp wars are all but won, should I rest on my pack and my laurels?

I don’t know if I could stand a steady diet of his zaniness. Sort of like living on Cinnabon rolls.
I would be willing to bet that there are plenty of good conservative radio hosts who would gladly give up a vacation day to fill in for the most popular host in radio. Think of the publicity value alone. But, let's go on your premise that they couldn't find anyone else. I'd still rather listen to a best-of or, a good fit for this month, a year end recap of his best calls.
I think this controversy came up before, the last time Erickson hosted. Wasn’t he involved in the Mississippi Incident in some way (involved with Cochran’s campaign or something)? I’m probably remembering wrong.

I love listening to Rush, but draw the line with Erickson being allowed back onto his show. I wrote Rush the day Erickson opened his big yap, said so here on FR, but apparently Rush values loyalty to his friends more than to his fans who adamantly objected about Erick. As a result, and true to my words, I'll be giving Rush a break for a while. We'll see if I ever go back. I tend to hold a grudges for a long time. Beck is a case in point. Never returned.
I also heard Mark Steyn mention that Erik Erickson would be hosting the show on Wednesday.
I will not be tuning in either.

Rush ever since staying the night at HWs’ White House has been GOPe come nut cutting time. Rush has been turned.
Rush has been around a whole lot longer than you, I am sure he does not need your input to be a success.
Yup. He’s done so much.
He should maybe have just re-run a show, but that’s his call.
Maybe Erickson will get some uncomfortable calls...who knows. Then again, he likely wouldn’t take them.
