GREAT NEWS FOR CRUZ FOLKS! (Trumpeters free to disbelieve it if they want.)
from "a friend." ;-)

Posted on 01/30/2016 5:17:52 AM PST by dangus

Reading some threads, I see Cruz folks starting to sound like they're starting to buy the Trump Big Lie that Trump "won" the debate, and knocked Cruz out. Don't believe it for a second.

I can't be specific what I'm referring to. We'll just have to say it's interesting data from "a friend."

What I am seeing is national, not relating to Iowa specifically. And it's not a cross-section of Republicans, but it probably is a pretty good barometer of conservatives.

Based on what I'm seeing, Rubio is going absolutely, positively nowhere, and Trump is going downhill. Pretty big. Maybe not the final implosion, but MUCH bigger than just the day-to-day noise.

Combine this with the fact that we're not seeing any surge in voting registration in Iowa*, indicating that (sadly) Trump is NOT motivating huge new blocks of voters, and I don't know how he can win... unless Cruz people get disheartened by the nonsense being pumped out by Politico, CNN, and all the other left-wing Trump lovers.

(*Again, this is not a tell-all. Last-minute registrations and simply activating existing registered voters could be plenty to bring about astounding voter turnout. But it is a dog that's not barking. New registrations have in the past correlated with surges in caucus participation.)

Seventh grade English teacher Mrs. Kimzey was relentless with all the young men. Ruled with a fist of iron.

This country has drifted so far to the left, we need a true constitutional conservative to just bring the ship back to center. How folks could look at Cruz and perceive him as dishonest or establishment is beyond me.

Cruz grew up in Houston. Texans for the large majority are very conservative. Even democrats in Texas are more conservative than republicans in, let say somewhere like....ummmm, New York for example.

Ted Cruz won over the establishment candidate for this senate sear in David Dewhurst...RINOx10. Cruz has kept his promises to Texans when he went to D.C. and has fought the establishment tooth and nail. They hate him. My proudest moment was when Cruz stood on the senate floor and called out McConnell as a liar.

For anyone to sling all this nonsense toward Cruz and make it appear as if he is anything but a true conservative is just flat being dishonest or deceptive.

It was ok, we knew what was meant.

Not okay with Mrs. Kimzey, seventh-grade English matron of steel.

Or his internal polling shows that Trump is toast.

I bad a similar argument recently with some locals in which the phrase in question was “given to you and me.” I reflexively reverted back to that argument until I realized that the “to” changed the word from a noun to an adverb. Well, at least I’m awake now. Lol. Have a great weekend.

Believing that Trump ‘won’ the debate is like saying the British ‘won’ Dunkirk. Yes, the British escaped annihilation at Dunkirk, but they hardly ‘won’. It took intervention from the US before they really won anything again. Maybe Trump is looking for someone to someone to come and hold his hand so he can ‘win’ again?

Like Obama’s ‘ Bat Boy ‘ ears?

I keep seeing parallels...

I read recently that the amount of new registrations in Iowa have surprised and/or disconcerted some campaign staffs.

In order to establish your "friend's" expertise, we must demand his name, address, bank account and PIN numbers before seriously considering his well thought out analysis.

Sources, FRiend, sources.

If you want an honest discussion and to have your views taken seriously, it isn’t a smart idea to start your topic off with name calling. I will not even read your piece. Good luck to Sen Cruz on Monday. May the best man win.

"and Trump is going downhill. Pretty big. "

What a steaming pile.....People keep saying he's going down when he ends up with improved numbers every time.

I like your version of 'downhill' because it describes the exact opposite. This is like 'It depends on what the meaning of is is

You need to practice your stuff before you post it.

I’ve heard Cruz say this several times. He says, “No, I’m not asking you to commit voter fraud, but if each of you will take 9 of your friends, neighbors and family to the polls, that’s ten votes.”

Trump can’t be wished away even if people try real hard. He’s here and he’s not going away. Clicking heals doesn’t work either.

Let’s see. Mrs. Kimzey must have been in her fifties then and I was 12 and 13 in the 7th Grade so...

She’s only 110 to 120 now. Haven’t spoken to her in about 40 years. She’s still around...somewhere. In my memory for certain.
