Felger & Massarotti were joined by Pro Football Talkâs Mike Florio on Monday afternoon on radio row in San Francisco, and he discussed whatâs at stake this Sunday in the Super Bowl for Peyton Manning.
âIf Manning gets to 2-2 all time in the Super Bowl, Tom Bradyâs at 4-2, Manningâs got all the records now, do you have a potentially vigorous debate as to which is the best of all time?â Florio asked. âThereâs going to be people out there that throw asterisks on Tom Bradyâs championships. I seriously question the play calling of Carolina. Cam looked like a slow pocket passer.
It was a good defensive battle on both sides, but the Bronco offense put up 17, enough to win. The fact that the offense sucked until late in the 4th just made their appearance decisive. I didn't like any of the offensive play calling, the good plays were a result of outstanding individual efforts, but weren't sustainable. I'd imagine both QBs were sore as hell afterward, but less so with a victory.
