IMHO, any candidate that got 3% or less of the vote last night in Iowa needs to say Good Bye to the race. This would include:
Candidate Votes Pct Delegates
Bush 5,235 3% 1
Fiorina 3,483 2% 0
Kasich 3,473 2% 0
Huckabee 3,344 2% 0
Christie 3,278 2% 0
Santorum 1,783 1% 0Hats off to Mike Huckabee who had the good sense to bow out last night.
Huckabee said “Bye-Bye” last night:

Haha, when I first glanced at your headline I thought it was another opus from a quitter freeper lol.
Ditto. Came to say “bye bye”.
Won’t happen yet. Bush, Kasich and Cristie think NH is the place they can show some strength.
upchuck issuing an opus? Don’t be ridiculous! :)
I’m here until my Free Republic 401K is fully vested.
“Bush, Kasich and Cristie think NH is the place they can show some strength.”
Yes, that’s correct. The things to watch for in NH is does Rubio just suck up all the air and the voted in the “establishment lane” and second (and maybe more fun) is how bad does Bernie beat Hillary.
Same here.
Rubio will be the new media darling.
He’s a hot prom date for now at least.
He has the high heels. ..
I’d add that the “coin-flippers” at the Iowa Democratic Party need to say “good-bye” too.
I wonder how the race would have been different if those losers had dropped out? I wonder who would the go for? Trump or Cruz? Or Rubio?
Whew! From the headline I feared this was going to be an opus!
Welcome back, Chuck! :-)
I wouldn’t put much stock in last nights results. It’s a caucus, not an Australian Ballot. Your vote is not your own and you are expected to surrender to the forces who appear the strongest. Last night that was Cruz, who had a solid ground operation there. But keep in mind that Huckabee and Santorum both won in Iowa too...and where is President Santorum or President Huckabee?
Iowa is a nice freak show but it’s not an accurate predictor of anything.
:)
Exactly, I don’t know why they feel the need to stick with it. Do they honestly believe they’ll surge ahead somewhere else, and if they did, would it be consistent? At this point, they’re only in it to draw votes from other more potent candidates, and if they don’t have they grace to bow out, then they are part of the problem.
It’s too early for most. Huckabee can go back to Fox, O’Mally was counting on an indictment, and the rest are still delusional.
By next Friday, we will lose two or three more.
Agree but on another point, how the hell did Jeb Bush rank above the others? That empty suit should’ve been dead last.
Huckabee exposed himself as a complete fraud by sucking up to Trump’s newfound Christianity. See 2 Corinthiams etc. He attacked Cruz’s faith instead. I really hope he goes back to Arkansas and plays his banjo for a living. Go Huck yourself Huck.
