Some people are claiming that the following screenshot is of an email from someone at the Cruz campaign. To my eye, it looks like a poorly Photoshopped hoax. Note the size/color of the font in the name "Don," the white blocks that appear to be where someone cleared area on the image, and the oddly cropped JPG artifacts around the letters.
What say you? Is this a real screenshot of a real email from someone at the Cruz campaign? Or is it a fake?
Looks fake to me.
Why would anyone photoshop an email when you can just write the email and put a logo on it if you wanted to fake it? Anyway, the Cruz campaign has already admitted to doing this. They just claim it was fair game and that they “should have followed up that Carson was not suspending his campaign,” because, supposedly, they were duped by the CNN news story which even that contained a quote from Carson saying “not to read anything into” his trip to Florida.

Maybe whoever posted it didn’t want it to be directly tracked back to them... Could be to a ‘Ron’.
Even if the name is photoshopped, it doesn’t invalidate the email, especially since the Cruz Campaign already admitted to it.

“Breaking News. The press is reporting that Dr. Ben Carson is taking time off from the campaign trail after Iowa and making a big announcement next week,” the email read. “Please inform any Carson caucus goers of this news and urge them to caucus for Ted Cruz.”
Cruz and his campaign spokesman admitted to it, said it was an effort to get out the vote.

That is false CNN is now lying about what they were reporting right before the caucuses. Here is a recording of CNN’story live report 15 minutes before the start of the caucuses which talks about Carson going home to Florida for several days until the DC prayer breakfast. The CNN anchor also talks about how bizarre this is and that no candidate still serious about winning would do this. They were clearly hinting that Carson was about to suspend his campaign. I’m not claiming to be buckhead. I’m just opening the floor to other FReepers, who may discern that ***THIS PARTICULAR IMAGE*** has been Photoshopped (and poorly Photoshopped, in my opinion).
