"CNN is reporting that Ben Carson will stop campaigning after Iowa. Make sure to tell all of your peers at the caucus supporting Carson that they should coalesce around the true conservative who will be in the race for the long haul: TED C
BEN CARSON: âA culture exists within the Cruz camp that would allow people to take advantage of a situation like this in a very dishonest way. Isn't this the same thing we see with the Obama administration, the IRS scandal? No responsibility. ((EDIT)) They were awfully anxious to get it out there, weren't they?â
But the Cruz campaign is also wrong and Senator Cruz should take disciplinary action against some of his staff.
However, that may not happen:
RICK TYLER, COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR FOR TED CUZ: âWe simply as a campaign repeated what Ben Carson had said in his own words. He said after Iowa he was going to go back to Florida for a couple of days and then he was going to go to D.C. to the prayer breakfast. And what that told us was he was not going to New Hampshire.â
But again, Carson had events booked in New Hampshire, so come on.
As far as CNN is concerned, it is standing behind its initial report, which is ludicrous.
That news agency screwed up big time and apparently doesn't care.
Talking Points has said it many times. The state of American journalism is on the verge of collapse.
Ideology has permeated hard news coverage and honest reporting is becoming almost scarce, especially in political circles.
CNN should apologize. Ted Cruz should take some action. And this should never again happen.
The Carson campaign was damaged by erroneous information, period.
And that's the memo.

Yes, of course, KGeorge . . and would you want to include a copy of the actual tweets from CNN and the time stamp on the tweets which clearly shows Cruz should have known that Carson was not quitting and yet he went ahead with the note to his 1500 caucus sites?
Here it is, just in case:

Folks, Ben Carson is just making a brief stop at home in FL tonight and campaign says heâll be back on the campaign trail by Wednesday.

not how quickly did they correct their tweets. when did cnn air another report that said ‘ben is just going home for a change of clothes...really’. None of this ‘no one that wants to win does this’ in their report. My understanding is that the cnn report aired just before 7 - caucus time.
Now you are telling me that the original report was on twitter, 2:15 before caucus time. Then a clarification came out 1.5 hours before caucus time?
I guess I am not up to speed on this whole thing...but the whole thing was cleared up long before caucus time?
Cruz was actually at my caucus that night - I heard him speak. He said nothing about Carson, and I only heard about this when I got home and checked on FR. He missed a great chance to tell almost 2k people when he spoke to us...
Here are the tweets from CNN’s Chris Moody . . with a time stamp on each one.

so cnn ran with the misleading report long after they knew the truth?
and it was a screen-shot from that report that was included in the team-cruz tweets?
I would love to. I have no idea how to imbed tweets. I guess I can C&P this. Not fancy, but the info is there.
Thanks so much!
It will be on this thread
If Trump had sent out those shaming letters or tried the email thing on caucus night everyone would be calling for his head on a stick.
Go quietly? Trump? Never dreamed of it.
If you can’t handle having a harmful media report passed along, then this kitchen really is a bit too hot for you.
Re: your post 35. IN my opinion a candidate having this information and not using it to his advantage would amount to malpractice. Of course you are going to use every advantage there is. They are there to win. It irks me to no end that not one word has been said about Rubio using the exact information. If Cruz’s people hadn’t jumped on this I would have thought they were stupid!
That's just unhinged. Cruz winning Iowa really rocked your world didn't it.
Please, don’t give up.
There are many people who would entertain a real conversation without the invectives that I have read lately.
There really is some decency left here.
I wish you well whatever your decision.
HLB
Full-court press by O’Reilly and MSM trying desperately to make this stick to Cruz.
Rove in cahoots trying to cut the conservative off at the pass.
Trump was supposed to win and win big. He lost. I doubt your thinking goes much beyond that.
Smallest of small potatoe issue, but when it’s all you’ve got.
Have you got an excuse ready, should Trump lose NH?
