Trump handled Bush’s crowd really well.
Bush was awful.
Sweet spot.
JEB’s not good.
The boy in the bubble got popped tonight.
I can’t remember Carson’s closing statement; but I remember the previous one when he quoted the preamble.
I would give Christie a higher grade than you did; lower for Kasich and Carson.
I found Christie more watchable than Rubio and Cruz. I think I debated a sweet kid in high school that reminds me of Rubio. I can’t see Rubio holding his own with Putin. Trump would be in his element in negotiating with Putin.
Trump colluded with Atlantic City insiders to bulldoze the home of an elderly widow. It didn't say that he succeeded.
Donald Trump and Eminent Domain
That brings us to the story of the aforementioned elderly widow in Atlantic City, which starts at about the same time. The woman, Vera Coking, had owned property near the Trump Plaza Hotel for three decades, and didnât want to move. Trump thought the land was better suited for use as a park, a parking lot, and a waiting area for limousines.
He tried to negotiate, at one point offering Coking $1 million for the land. But she wasnât budging. So New Jerseyâs Casino Reinvestment Development Authority filed a lawsuit, instructing Coking to leave within 90 days and offering compensation of only $251,000.
Perhaps the only upside to this story is that in neither case did Trump succeed. The Bridgeport plan fizzled. Coking fought in court, and â in part because these were the days before Kelo was decided, no doubt â she was lucky enough to win. In 1998, a judge threw out the case.
If I gave my personal report card it would start a food fight...
I don’t agree with that summary.
Reverse Christie and Rubio and move Cruz to a B+ and you’ve got it
1. Cruz
2. Christie
3. Trump
4. Rubio
5. Kasich
6. Bush
7. Carson
Trump at 67%, everyone else is in single digits. (Time Magazine)
Trump, Christie, K-si ck.
Biggest loser was Rubio and Carson gets best supporting for pinning a shaming letter in Cruz’s forehead.
I’d put Christie ahead of Rubio. Carson, Bush and Kasich were awful. Fortunately George Stepinonupolous and Donna Zika Bazille were there to tell Kasich scored big.
I think I only agree with your assessment on Trump and Bush.
The rest.....
There is no way Cruz gets an A- tonight. In fact, I think this will land him 5th or below on Tuesday. Rubio probably will get 4th.
Key is taking out the front runner:
I’m Cruz supported but he had a good shot at taking on Trump and didn’t take it.
Like how Cruz supported use of military / cia policy on waterboarding as it existed before Obama, but stated it in a manner that liberals could not argue against.
Bush owned Trump on eminent domain.
Christie owned Rubio on readiness and talking points. but at same time Rubio is right, Obama knows what he doing
Good analysis chaplain. I have it as follows.
1. Cruz, A-
1.Trump, A-
3. Christie, B+
4. Rubio, B-
5. Carson, C+
6. Kasich, C
7. Bush, D
(I thought this was by far Trump’s best debate performance)
