Could any freepers provide guidance? I'll create a Twitter account if there are no other options. What do the freeptechs recommend?

sounds weird, but I agree. Doesn’t hurt to create an account. Just make up a name and leave it anonymous

It might also ask for your credit card number.
Seriously, it sounds like a scam “Twitter” site.

Oooh, I didn’t think of that. I might have to investigate that further (run scans, malware detectors, etc.)

If u want to create an account they will ask for a phone number, but you should be able to view anyway going directly through the website. If you go through the app it will make u create an account. But you should just be able to go to twitter through the web and read his tweets.

Give them one from here.

You can watch the stream and capture the password they want you to send back.
Your giving them a phone number that’s not yours so you don’t care. You just want to jump through their hoop.

Try clearing your cache and history or changing browsers.

If they want a number give them 555-1212.
To: usafa92
Thank you, that was it. I cleared everything out, checked the twitter site again and got in just fine.

555-1212
Telephone time is...
High five. We dialed that hundreds of times as kids on Los Angeles in the 70’s.
Please, no phone numbers for Twitter. They are doing lousy in business and probably get hacked regularly. Just use another browser, such as Epic and Opera or as others suggested, restart computer and clear caches.
