Well i could have been taken into custody by the town of Vienna and yinz would not even care! not one expression of concern for the outcome of my case???
As it turns out, i have a plus 5 driving record, which is the best you can have, and because of that, the judge reduced the fine to $50, and suspended it so i only have to pay court costs. No idea how much that is, bc the computer system is down state-wide and i was not able to pay on the spot, but it is undoubtedly significantly less than paying the ticket would have been which was $150. I am grateful to the cop for suggesting i show up, bc i had no idea it worked that way. the judge was actually nice and quite good at what he did, i was surprised bc i figured traffic court for just crap judges and personnel.
we had dinner with Rand Paul and his wife Kelly last night. I am not even kidding!! it was the Gonzaga hockey banquet and i just sat down at a table that had two empty seats, people had their stuff on the other chairs but that was fine. xshub went to get us some waters, when everyone sat down turns out it was Rand/kelly and two other sets of parents. When we got to the car, i googled the guy and turns out he is dem congressman from Queens, Joe Crowley. Never heard of him heretofore, would not have known except he was talking Hill stuff with Rand so i figured i would see who he worked for, figuring maybe he was a staffer. We did not talk politics, just talked about hockey and our boys. They were appreciative of xsboy coaching their son. The JV team gave the coaches a gift, and when presenting xsboy’s gift, said they were happy to have him coaching them and that it was very special that he was a former Gonzaga hockey player from a championship team. It was a very pleasant evening.
I’m sorry but I can’t be associated with a known criminal..... I had to wait for the final results. ;^)

My husband intends to be the President of the Republic of Texas when we split from the commie bastards turning our country into a socialist nightmare..... so, you know, as First Lady I need to be careful who my friends are. ;^)
pshhhh. yes, i am writing from my cellblock. one unfortunate woman, up first with her attorney, was there for DUI and hit and run. She was asking to have the device installed in her car so she can continue to drive bc she takes care of someone’s kids [that horrified me to hear], she got her fines reduced and has a few days of jail time which she asked to serve on weekends.
we were talking politics with another couple we have not seen in some time, at a party on Sat PM, and i was kind of surprised to hear that they liked KASICH of all people. The husband used to work on the Hill, not sure if he’s retired yet or not. They visibly recoiled at the mention of Trump, but they do GET it, as do i, bc the husband is originally from NYC. They referred to Cruz as arrogant and smarmy, thought that Rubio was not experienced enough. i am always interested in what people are thinking.
I really don’t get the animating principle behind a Kasich run. Were they liking him as the best of what is there, or are they actually enthusiastic for something he represents?
best of what there is. for one thing they were pronouncing the H at the end of his name, so can’t know much about him otherwise! LOL!
and while they were not trump supporters let me say that they did mention how Trump got Bubba to back off and take a back seat in her campaign when he stepped up his rhetoric on Bill and we all relished the idea of a donald-hill debate. There is no doubting his balls. he’s got them. but the temperament to govern is something he lacks.
And any foundational principles.
