I am so tired of the Fox hates cruz, fox is in the bag for trump, fox is in the bag for Rubio etc. These candidates are rising and falling on their own merits and fox has jack squat to do with it. Cruz reaction to a perfectly reasonable question makes him look argumentative and just nasty, it plays to the stereotype of him that’s out there. All Wallace did was ask about the two things that Cruz ADMITTED to the ben carson thing which he apologized for, and the firing of his guy for the Rubio Bible stupid trick.

This is the WFTD thread, where we have been for probably 15 years or so now. We regular participants have known each other forever and we can speak freely to each other about our opinions and we do disagree often, but we respect each other. Everyone is of course welcome, but I am not going to engage trumpbots who traffic in the nastiness that keeps us from the other threads on FR. Hitechredneck has engaged in respectful debate here without any problem. But neither I nor any of the other regular participants on this thread will sit for attacks from people who have never set foot on this thread heretofore. One of my best friends on FR works for Trump, we engage in give and take routinely. Not going to engage outsiders who come in looking for a fight. There is plenty of fighting on the trump/cruz threads to satisfy anyone so inclined.

you, I like, you appear mostly sane, despite your delusions ; ) you have behaved like a gentleman in here. I will take zero crap from the ones who come looking to cause trouble here. I am sorry that some trumpbots feelings are hurt on a thread where they have never been because there are those who do not bow to the trumpmessiah.

In a few weeks more the calumny will be over.

Happy Super Tuesday Eve, everybody

I really doubt that.

Trump has done what his backers wanted - destroying the Republican party.

Not sure where we go from here, but it’s going to be a long time to get back to the position where we were before he jumped in.

Another 4-8 years in the wilderness, trying to repair our image.

I’ve decided there is no point in getting involved in the lunacy-too many people have already jumped in, and now this show has a life of its own-no matter the hysterical cries to put on the brakes-it is just going to have to play out, and there is no stopping it-the establishment should have been less dismissive of the voters’ wishes-now their chickens have come to roost...

In our down-and-dirty politics
The ones who are scoring best
Throw the most crap at the wall
To just calumniate all the rest

All the rumors unsubstantiated
Are put out there as being true-
And sniping over tans and hands
Have one candidate yelling “sue”

I read this stuff last happened
When we were the wild frontier-
And since this horse has no reins
Bring that popcorn and some beer...

I remember thinking as early as 2004 that the internecine wars here would be the end of the site, but that didn’t happen, and hasn’t since. I think cooler heads will prevail eventually and order will return, like it has before...

I hope he takes up the sword-I think there is far more to justice Thomas than many people realize.

Justice Thomas is brilliant. He has been. Speaking from the bench is not necessary. It’s a job about the written word. With that said, if he wants to do that more now, good.

I first admired him when his candidacy was under attack by liberals with that ridiculous sexual harassment crap-the way he dug in his heels until he was vindicated made me respect him totally.

WFTD is just about the only place at FR where I can participate in a civil discussion with those who have a different take on a subject than I do-on just about every other thread at FR that has political content, people have their knives out, intent on eviscerating anyone who does not agree with them. You are right-we do not need that here at all...

I think those of us who have been participating in the WFTD threads for any length of time have come to expect and appreciate an exchange of ideas-that does not become an insult fest-with those who have a different view-any comment I make on political threads is going to be on an unimportant point, if I comment at all-I don’t feel that limited here...

Is Super Tuesday tomorrow? Time flies when you don’t watch network news. I will have to get on FR first thing Wednesday to see who won. Sad to say, my pick never wins so I don’t have much invested in this circus. Cue the Here Comes the Clowns music........
