Vacant apartment apparently no so vacant. /snark
Yoots.
Apparently someone made a bad wish when they blew out the candles.
Is now
Boston? I am stunned. Don’t they have very strict gun laws? I thought that was a magic formula to stop this. Wow. Doesn’t work afterall. Who would have thunk it.
Obama’s dreamers? Immigration status of all involved? And MA has some of the strictest gun laws in America. One cannot even buy ammunition in MA without a firearms owners ID card.
I live in Massachusetts, south of Boston now, but was in the city for 12 years. It was very easy for me to get my concealed carry license. I have 6 pistols of varying calibers and a couple of nice shotguns. Haven’t bought any rifles as my father-in-law is giving me his entire gun collection (about another 10 pistols and 10 rifles of varying caliber). Plenty of people shoot in Massachusetts. My town has a beautiful rod and gun club. Too many people assume the gun laws are draconian here. It’s not that bad.
And no online retailer/supplier will ship to MA. I can't wait to get outta this state.
I live here too and it is that bad. It's not just the gun laws, it's everything taken together.
They shut down the South Shore Plaza because one ninny saw someone with an umbrella sticking up out of his backpack (on a rainy day) and called the police to report someone with a rifle in the mall.
If you are carrying while shopping, better not reach for anything on the top shelf. Someone will see your ITWB pistol and alert the manager who will call the police.
Even if you are shooting on your property legally, someone will call the local police. Plenty of towns have groups of citizens trying to get gun clubs and shooting ranges shut down. Lexington is only the latest. A group there has gotten an article on the Town Meeting warrant to ban all semi-auto rifles and pistols.
It's the culture here. The guns-are-evil paranoia.
Not gonna argue with you. I guess it’s a town to town thing. My local Walmart and Dicks stock plenty of ammo. I guess my area is a bit more conservative. Most of the people I meat are pro-military and pro gun. But I hear what you’re saying. I have some lib nuts in the extended family...
