It is ludicrous to argue that, because the hard Left is primarily responsible for the outbreak of chaos and violence that caused Donald Trumps Chicago rally to be canceled last night, it is wrong to condemn the thuggery Trump often encourages at his appearances. Trump has encouraged physical battery at his campaign events, even telling supporters hed pay their legal fees if they get arrested for assaulting dissenters. (See, e.g., Iowa event: So if you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of em, would you? Seriously. Okay? Just knock the hell I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise. I promise; see also Las Vegas event: regarding an unruly protester removed by security, Trump tells crowd, Id like to punch him in the face. Hes smiling, having a good time.) Trump has continued to fan these flames even after it has become obvious that some of his supporters are acting on the invitation to resort to violence. Incitement to violence is a crime; incitement to violence at a large rally is incitement to riot a crime that can get people badly injured or even killed.

The nativity as to what is really going on here is astounding!!! BLM, Occupy, the Unions and MoveOn are Obama’s brown shirts. They are his way to directly intervene in this campaign. The fact that they did so and Obama was out there shortly after making comments and trying to be relevant tells you all you need to know.
Civility?!?! Inciting violence?!?! HA!! If Cruz were winning this, these brown shirts would be at his rallies doing the same thing. This is how they work. Think Scott Walker, Wisconsin. What violent rhetoric did he use exactly?
Ted blew it. He knows damn well what is going on here and choose to grab the media narrative as a means to get some more votes. Had he rejected it and come to Trump’s defense he may have found himself in a better position.
You're right. Trump himself has advocated and invited violence, and he is dishonest.
“Well, that and the fact that no one listens when boring Ted speaks, and no one is at his rallies.”
Being sarcastic?
Or a fool?

This is the kind of stuff that was said after the Oklahoma City bombing when ‘talk radio’ was blamed for the actions of an insane man.
This is what is said sometimes after a mass murder when some political angle is developed by the media.
The comments after the Trump rally from Cruz were very disturbing, I expected that from Rubio and Kasich, not from Ted.
Mine wasn’t wishful thinking ....mine was a sober assessment....
It’s now over for me. Cruz is not a choice for me in the general election.
Respectfully disagree.
They don’t go after Cruz or Kasich because
They. Aren’t. A. Threat. To. Change. Anything.
Wait Mr KKK confederate general avatar is against violence? Almost as shocking as the same guy supporting a candidate who cucks for Black Lives Matter.
That's one of the looniest statements I have ever seen on this site. Save this in your 'favorites', and read it again in a year. Tell me what you think of it then.
@DefendingtheUSA Cruz has thrown all his values down the toilet in an effort to take down Trump. Career politician to the bone.— Tuomo Lindholm (@LindTuo) March 13, 2016
Just because Obama advocates violence doesn’t give Trump the right to do the same.

How disappointing.
If it could be shown Trump's speeches either instigated riotous behavior among HIS OWN supporters, or that those speeches rose to the level of triggering self-defense statutes among the perpetrators, you might have a point.
As his speeches do neither, your assertion is very pretty sophistry.
All the cynicism is on Donald Trump's side. It is he who cannot control his big mouth and who has exploited race relations and condoned ,even encouraged, violence for cheap political advantage and in doing so has injured the Republican/conservative brand and made it less likely for a Republican candidate to become president.
How dare he risk the fate of the country for his own personal ambition!

I had to smile at that.
