It is ludicrous to argue that, because the hard Left is primarily responsible for the outbreak of chaos and violence that caused Donald Trump’s Chicago rally to be canceled last night, it is wrong to condemn the thuggery Trump often encourages at his appearances. Trump has encouraged physical battery at his campaign events, even telling supporters he’d pay their legal fees if they get arrested for assaulting dissenters. (See, e.g., Iowa event: ”So if you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of ‘em, would you? Seriously. Okay? Just knock the hell — I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise. I promise”; see also Las Vegas event: regarding an unruly protester removed by security, Trump tells crowd, “I’d like to punch him in the face. He’s smiling, having a good time.”) Trump has continued to fan these flames even after it has become obvious that some of his supporters are acting on the invitation to resort to violence. Incitement to violence is a crime; incitement to violence at a large rally is incitement to riot — a crime that can get people badly injured or even killed.

Not a double standard. There are times to battle each other and there are times to stand together. BTW, Trump is going after the left, and to compare that to Cruz going after a fellow Republican is ludicrous.

If the positions were reversed, I imagine Trump would not be bashing Cruz over his rhetoric.
I have always been skeptical of the “I used to be but this changed me” posts anywhere I see them. If what Cruz has done on the trail has turned you to Trump and his trail record, you weren’t very solidly for Cruz to begin with.
Which is it? Do I serve the klan or do I serve the black lives matter movement? If I serve both I am more than ambidextrous or you are thoroughly confused.
Meanwhile, keep up the ad hominem attacks one might finally succeed.

Watching Trump’s Kansas City rally left me with a distinct feeling he was trying to motivate his crowd into violence. They didn’t really take the bite, so he backed down and then tried several more times.
He definitely was condoning violent action within his audience against anybody present who might not agree with him.
There is a distinction between somebody who wants to attend to listen to him speak and those who seek to disrupt the public speech. There already are laws to enforce the removal of the latter. Donald, though goes a bit further. He wanted to screen out those who disagree with him from attending public speeches. IMHO, they would no longer be public speeches if that is the audience he seeks. Nothing wrong with him promoting private speeches in assembly areas normally used for public events due to the size, but somebody would have to pay for it.
And don’t forget, Sarah Palin was blamed for Gabby Gifford’s shooting.

There are many silent partners in this travesty - any politicians (not running) step up to defend the 1st amendment? Nope. All PC pukes.
Solid support? There are plusses and minuses on all the candidates....I’ve never been a rabid supporter of any political animal, the least detestable gets my vote...I had decided that either Trump or Cruz would be acceptable...
Cruz’s recent behavior moved him to my unacceptable column.
You can assign what silly motives you would like but for me I simply watch the candidates and base my decision on their positions and behavior.
The best time to watch is toward the end when everyone is desperate.... This is when their true character shows...
In my estimation, Cruz failed...
