Roger Goodell, chairman of the National Football League is on the cusp of becoming America’s newest gay icon. Goodell, who has an openly gay brother, and the NFL, have emerged as staunch allies in gay rights advocates’ efforts to defeat HB 757, the controversial religious freedom bill that passed the Georgia legislature late last week.

It isn’t an ‘anti-gay’ bill. It protects the rights of pastors and churches.
It doesn’t go nearly far enough. It doesn’t protect businesses.

To Hell with the NFL.

excerpt ~ HB 757 began the year as “the Pastor Protection Act,” a measure giving clergy the right to refuse to perform same-sex weddings. But after two trips through the Georgia state House and Senate, the bill now gives faith-based organizations the right to hire and fire people who violate their “sincerely held religious beliefs,” as well as the right to refuse to rent facilities for events they find “objectionable.”
The bill would also make it illegal to force an individual to attend a gay wedding.

...and most media outlets are using the ‘anti-gay’ designation.

Completely out of preference. Not surprising.

Why would anyone care about what the National Felon League has to say about anything?

I quit watching ALL Pro Sports many many years ago precisely because of their MORAL BANKRUPTCY.

So now NFL, with its low IQ types who like to beat up women, is getting involved in setting policy in areas that have not the slightest link to it. It will not stop here. If NFL wins, what is next for it? Getting involved in promoting Common Core? Making it legal to hit ones wife?

I’m torn because I like football but I can’t stand Goodell (nobody can, and I do mean NOBODY) and he’s turning the NFL into a social justice group that happens to play some mediocre football on weekends. In London, for some reason. At what point do I give them the finger and move on?

They get the limelight. There might be no further reason.

Where are Christians? The limelight is waiting for you too, even if they sic lions on you afterwards. Go for broke — explain that it’s been the sad “gay” movement that has been picking fights with them, and give example after painstakingly documented example. And ask how something like that can possibly be based on love? And tell them that Jesus Christ loves them with a real love which will show up the phoniness for what it is.

Might get some lions sicced on you, but at least the public would hear the truth. And as we found out in the case of Donald Trump (however imperfectly he did it) that when someone DOES dare to shout the truth in public, that person rapidly gains a large bandwagon. People are getting sick of lies but it is a belling-the-cat problem who is going to call out the truth. Solve that, and we will have progress.

Like the kids say, “That’s so gay”. Just the NFL keeping the ESPN boys happy and gay.

I’m done with the NFL. Let the homosexuals support the league. Goodall is a idiotic douche.

The bill is NOT an anti-gay bill, it is a pro freedom bill that says if a baker does not want to bake a cake for a gay wedding he won't be sued and forced out of business and has the right to refuse.

When a business, and the NFL is big business, decides to insert themselves into local laws and politics, then they should no longer enjoy the exemption from anti-trust statutes the NFL currently does.

I’d like to propose that a solution be raised up like that which was raised up for the Boy Scouts (i.e. an alternative system). Let’s have a Christian Football League. No kidding.

Many excellent proposals. But until someone steps up and shouts about it to the public, not the choir, the status quo is what we ought to expect.

The American public is very tolerant, to a point. But when what it was tolerating begins to use the mechanisms of the state as a cudgel to beat down freedom, nobody should be surprised to see the tolerance end and the pushback begin. No, we don’t expect everybody to want Christianity everywhere. But “gay” should not expect everybody to want it everywhere either.

“Roger Goodell, chairman of the National Football League is on the cusp of becoming America’s newest gay icon . . .”

I have wondered for some time if back-pressure from the top was the reason that Tebow, the wholesome quarterback who won in Denver several years ago, was passed over for less qualified players after being replaced by the Broncos.

In response, the GA legislature should strengthen the bill to perfectly reflect the 1st Amendment.

Bullies only understand resolve.

Let the homosexuals support the league. Goodall is a idiotic douche.

The game is already being feminized, with very real efforts to make it "gentler" with fewer kickoff plays and lighter "hits." The lawsuits are flying fast and furious over "trauma" that players have endured. Who's going to be blamed? Find the deep pockets.

So Atlanta won’t ever host a Super Bowl if the Gov signs this bill? If the Nat’l FELON’S League keep putting on halftime shows featuring trash like Beyonce, is that really a bad thing?
