Serious Question for Cruz Supporters (VANITY)
04/14/2016 | Les Dowrey

Posted on 04/14/2016 12:42:16 PM PDT by LesDowrey

If Ted Cruz were to win the GOP Nomination on the 2nd ballot or further down the line, he will have won the GOP nomination based on STOPPING Trump, not SUPPORTING Ted. That's not really a great way to win is it? Also, if he couldn't beat Trump at the ballot box, how will he beat Hillary?

A question for Trump supporters:

If Trump is unable to ever secure a majority of the delegates to the Convention, how can he be a winner?

And sadly, Cruz is in even worse shape.

If Trump can’t figure out the primary process and win it, should he lead the country? No.

If Ted Cruz can win the nomination by stopping a Democrat that should be good preparation for November.

Cruz can’t win. Period. He has absolutely NO appeal outside of a very narrow segment of conservatives. He’ll get no support from anyone else. Hillary will win a 49-50 state landslide.

As a Cruzer - let me say this is a good question.

And the answer goes to the lack of popularity for either Trump or Cruz.

Candidates only win when they have the SUPPORT of their voters. Example: We all voted for McCain. Romney too. But we held our nose as we did so.

That - my friend is a sure ticket to Loserville. We didn’t support either of those two goons, and the majority of Repubs will not support Ted or Trump in the fall. We may vote for one of them. But it won’t help.

See tagline.

IMHO, Cruz is now a stalking horse. Once his “supporters” like Jeb and Lindsay have stopped Trump, the GOPe will put in someone whom they want. It will not be Trump (who threatens their power) or Cruz (whom they dislike intensely).

At this point Trump has won about a third of the GOP vote. Cruz has won about 28%. That leaves about 45% that have so far gone to candidates other than Trump or Cruz. And we are still not done getting all the votes yet.

The difference between Trump and Cruz is about 8% of the GOP or about 4% of the total voters. Tell me how Trump can win on a difference of 4% or with only 37% of the GOP?

So now for the insults I normally get because I have a different view on things.

He won’t beat Hillary.
Everybody knows this.
He’s running as Pastor in Chief, and everyone who has sympathy for gay marriage will vote Hillary en masse to keep him from selecting the next one or two Supreme Court justices.

Fact.

What will you do when Cruz wins on the second ballot and Trump throws his support to him and becomes Commerce Secretary?

A question for Trump supporters: If Trump is unable to ever secure a majority of the delegates to the Convention, how can he be a winner?

What's amazing here is there are those Cruz supporters that don't at least want to realize that the whole evil cabal that is attempting to stop Trump. You have the Dem party, the GOPe, the enemedia, the Cruz campaign, the Wall St cronies and more all coming together to try to stop Trump.

I never thought I'd see the day where conservatives aligned themselves with such an unholy alliance just to try to stop one American citizen.

If this unholy alliance does stop Trump from getting the required number of delegates, how is all this principled or even conservative???

We are definitely living in some interesting times when so called conservatives are aligning themselves with this unholy alliance all in attempt to take one citizen out. It's beyond crazy.

I don’t think that is going to happen.
Rove, the political whore of all political whores, is now raising money based on cozying up to Trump.

He knows which side his bread is buttered. That’s the first sign that they know Trump will win and can beat Hillary.
