Women Really, Really Dislike Trump: Take Note, Republicans
National Review ^ | April 18, 2016 | Abby McCloskey

...

Trump recently tweeted, “Nobody has more respect for women than Donald Trump!” This is hard to believe. More than 3 million people have seen the anti-Trump ad in which women repeat real quotes about women from Donald Trump, such as “bimbo” and “fat pig.” Trump described Megyn Kelly as having “blood coming out of her wherever” and mocked Carly Fiorina’s appearance by saying, “Look at that face.” He tweeted a picture of Melania Trump next to Heidi Cruz, as if potential first ladies are contestants in a Miss Universe pageant. And when asked whether women should be punished in the event that abortion became illegal, he suggested that they should be.

Women aren’t amused. Seven out of ten women (67 percent) have an unfavorable view of Trump, and only 26 percent view him favorably, according to a national Quinnipiac survey from late March. Other polls have his unfavorability ratings among women even higher, at 74 percent.

Cruz has capitalized on Trump’s missteps by not making similar misogynist gaffes (admittedly, this is a low bar). He also recently hosted an event — “The Celebration of Strong Women” — in Madison, Wis., featuring his wife, his mother, and none other than former competitor Carly Fiorina. “All issues are women’s issues,” said Cruz, in one of his most humanizing events of the campaign.

This is a very encouraging development, but Cruz too has a steep hill to climb with women voters. Three in ten women surveyed had a favorable view of Cruz (29 percent) and nearly half had an unfavorable view of him (46 percent), according to the same Quinnipiac survey from late March.

Not that the GOP’s leading candidates do particularly well with male voters.

How did it get disproven that many women in the privacy of voting would choose an Alpha male? Neither McCain nor Romney came across as strong Alphas. FWIW, it seems that a vast majority of men in Europe and the US have been neutered by political correctness.

How does one define an Alpha male? Don't try. Real women know it when we see it. Something in the DNA makes us appreciate a man who can take charge and be trusted.

Doesn't Trump doing better in actual voting than in open environments suggest that he's getting those votes of folks who aren't public about their support of him?

Trump lets his mouth overload his @ss every time he opens it...and alienating women voters is just one end result of that.

He just came out and said that Hillary has been a crook ‘all along’. So he knowingly donated $100k to a crook. In my logic book....that makes him a crook too and shows what kind of a person he IS, vs. what he is pretending to be.

Sorry, my point was that the concept of “negative, racially-motivated” voting behind the ballot-curtain was disproven in 08&12, not the gender-based bias. I was not clear; my apologies.

Gender-based (negative) bias in the voting booth WILL be disproven in November with large “swaths” of voters voting in favor of Hillary simply because she is running as the first female for POTUS.

As Rush says, it is this appearance of compassion that counts most for today’s Progressive (Marxist).

Trump needs a charm offesive to win over women (soccer moms) Needs to show how they will be better off with him in the White House. He needs to get women to speak for him. I suggest a number of “fireside chats” with a focus on policy direct from Trump Tower. Women he would appoint, new goals to help mothers with children-—work with charities like St, Jude Hospitals for Children. Drug rehab for all who need it-—Too many women lose their children to drugs.

So in other words sincerity might be able to convert women to his side, and if Trump can fake that successfully then he should have it made?

The leopard cannot change his spots. Women see Trump for the kind of man he is and his only hope is that enough will see past the pig and vote for his policies instead. If he can ever coherently express those.

My point was not that the attack has any validity - Trump is leading among republican women voters too. My point is that this is a chance to polish the response to the predictable but inaccurate attacks that Trump will face in the general election.

Trump has shown he can handle this issue already by how he shut down Hillary trying it so fast early one.

Those attacks will be back with a different and more developed spin. It's not enough to fight the last war. Trump has to be ready to fight the next war too. Right now, the media hate Trump and hate Cruz too. They may be going easy on Cruz to help stop Trump (which is a bad thing for both Trump and Cruz), but their hearts are not in this fight because they hate both candidates. When it's Trump v. Hillary (I hope), or Cruz v. Hillary (the only other acceptable choice), it will get far more vicious.

National Disgrace Magazine. Wrong again.

“Donald Trump wins with women voters”

Donald Trump’s overall appeal is across all demographics and internal ideologies. Donald Trump wins with women voters, and higher information political consumers. Very Importantly – Trump is seen as most authentic and capable as a political change agent. Trump also leads with Hispanic voters in California, and absolutely crushes the competition with the Asian electorate. The most important issue in all three states (NY, PA, CA) are jobs/economy. And economic voters are overwhelmingly Trump voters. (Trump also leads on the alternative issues – second place: security/terrorism) Conversely, Ted Cruz is seen as the most “inauthentic” candidate in the race.

Of course they will be back. But they will be ineffective. The left has no new strategies to use. Race, Sex, Nazi, etc. The problem for the left tho is Trump is well prepared to negate all the historical attacks of the left in this election. He has been playing chess with an Art of War philosophy while his opponents have been playing checkers.

Your GOPe talking point fell flat.

I’m wondering if younger voters will choose hillary just because she’s a woman. It seems to be a fixation with femnazis over age 50 or so. And even a lot of my age group can see that hillary is deeply flawed.

So how is he winning by such a large margin if it is just men?

Trump is **not** winning by such a large margin. Trump has not yet won a majority vote in any state.

There is nothing Trump can do at this point to rehabilitate his image among women. I would not be surprised if 70 -80% of women vote for Hillary.

I don't know about 70-80%, but it would undoubtedly be the biggest gender gap in history. More like the Gender Grand Canyon.

And if people can't even trust him on policies, all we are left with is the pig.

Tomorrow will cure that.
I heard he was heading back to Houston and suspending his campaign after NY. Pass it on.

And I suspect that is the reason his negatives with women are so high.
