A pro-family group has launched a boycott of Target after the retail store made it clear on Tuesday that its bathrooms and changing facilities can be used by anyone according to their gender identity.
The American Family Association said that more than 162,000 citizens signed its #BoycottTarget pledge within 24 hours.
“Corporate America must stop bullying people who disagree with the radical left agenda to remake society into their progressive image,” AFA President Tim Wildmon said in a statement. “#BoycottTarget has resonated with Americans.” …

Here’s the conclusion I have come to; this has nothing to do with equality, we all know that. There used to be a time when, if someone, particularly a man, saw another man enter the women’s room he would know that the guy was up to no good and would do something about it. This is another step in the direction of people turning away when they know something wrong is happening.
I understand.
But these are not truly transgendered persons, who are an infinitesimally small percentage of the overall population, who are the problem here.
The problem here lies with people who are NOT transgendered (which is 99.999999% of people), some of whom will take advantage of this newly created social “problem”.
In short, this is a problem that was wholly created out of virtually nothing ... so small a group of people who are trans gendered (or think they are) are helping people who are NOT transgendered take advantage of social norms.
In the end this whole thing is not about trans gendered people at all (again a vanishing small number of people) but rather about tearing down order, common decency and decorum in our society.
In my opinion conservatives are taking the bait in making this about trans gendered people ... which is most definitely is not about. This is about non-trans people not being held to any social customs, decorum or common decency ... which is to say what most of the cultural issues of our day are about.
By focusing on transgendered people (again a teeny tiny number of people) we are falling into a trap that is being deliberately set.

Lots of them still look like men in makeup, besides the size of their feet & hands. Does taking hormones as a teen reduce the size of their feet & hands?
I have boycotted Target for so long that I don’t even remember why anymore. I am sure it was worthy of boycotting so I will continue unless I hear that they go back on any immoral practices. Can’t say that I have missed going there.
Maybe we need three bathrooms, one women, one men and one other. Let them share the other bathroom with other perverts.
Enforcement of the rules will be enforced as far as common sense will allow. If someone is a known cross dresser or others know what sex they really are then they will be told that they have to use the proper bathroom. If they don’t comply then security can be called. That is all that we can do. That is generally what we do now. At least society on the whole will keep it’s standards.
A woman was horribly murdered in a park bathroom near Madison Wis. Bathrooms can actually be kind of scary places. We don’t need laws that increase the likelihood of mayhem in bathrooms.
We should lock up the mentally ill “transgenders” in institutions until they have rectified mind with reality.

And i signed the boycott. Beside this issue, on two separate occasions i was sternly warned I would be ejected if i offered any gospel tracts to people, after i graciously did so to a few while shopping, or to the cashier. It was the attitude that got me. Could have left the 100.00 purchase at the register (that is were the second encounter occurred) and left, but I did not.
(unrelated: my son reminded me of an old joke. "I'd rather shop at the Dollar Store, you don't have to get all dressed up - like at WalMart.")
