Good things TRUMP has done! List here Please

Where's all the good news about Trump

My heads going to explode with this controlled media and it's starting to permeate the www. Tried searching the web for "minority employee of Trump" because I saw a youtube vid of a hispanic/black (I forget which) woman praising her employment at Trump. I'm sure I can find it in my browsing history but all I find via a web search is negative/opposite. Likewise, searching for "good things Trump has done" brings up the exact opposite. Trump the man and the company pages on wikipedia have no mention of anything good.

I know these things exist!

Just read something here about him helping the Marine that was imprisoned in mexico. I remember something about him paying off someone's house because they helped him when he was broken down on the side of the road. (heard it on apprentice) Another is a Veteran's Memorial? Skating rink?

This list needs to be verifiable online. Maybe we/I can even get some of it on wikipedia although from what I understand, they lean left. Still, facts are facts so the info should be able to be put up there. Every other wealthy person's wiki page has a philanthropy section and while Trump might not have any official "foundations" he supports, the small stuff counts and imho, moreso. Even if we can't get content onto wikipedia, the list here would be good reference material for all of us to use as talking points to help discredit the msm version of Trump. It should be a pretty easy thing to do really. I mean, all the pols have their "foundations" and "causes" they donate to and half or more of that money stays in politics. Trump also has his donations and I'm sure it was to buy points with someone but Trump has also helped real people and real things and I don't think he even tried to popularize the instances or capitalize one them. Just did it because he felt like it and/or it was the right thing to do AND because he doesn't consider himself as some supreme being like the pols.

For me, this is aimed at convincing the undecided and misguided folks and would be for battling in the comments section of news sites and for posting on social media for the same. There's plenty of good info here at FR but it's preaching to the choir in a way and sending people here would be that way as well. Love the site and have turned my Bother in Law onto it but he's already like minded. A lot of the undecided/misguided would come here, see Red, White and Blue and the word Republic, the mission statement, roll their eyes and leave even though they're not necessarily sold on leftist politics. They've been somewhat brainwashed by edu and msm. They've been convinced that anyone talking about the Replublic and Constitution is a "Right Wing Extremist".

As an example, my grand neice who's in the Coast Guard, "liked" some negative Trump facebook post that ended with, "This is White Supremacy". She's young, idealistic and knows not what she does but I still have hope for her. I may not be able to change her social views but maybe I can enlighten her on political issues. Now even when I find that youtube vid, the lady sounded like she was reading a script, though it may just be her regular voice but it's just one example and people will say, it's scripted or that she was paid by Trump to say how wonderful it is to work there. We need multiple examples of Trump's good to offset the overwhelming bad and preferably not from obviously right wing sources.

I want to help the Trump Train head down the fight track

I don't have a lot of money but I will be buying a red hat. What I do have are some www/techie skills and rainy days that prevent me from working outside. I also was involved in the Tea Party when it first started and had a newsletter with about 2000 people on it and it was gaining subscribers. I still have that list of email addresses and want to start up the newsletter again. Most of these people would be considered like minded so my emails will not be to convince them, but to give them the ammunition they need to convince others.

This is my first post here on FR and hopefully, it's not out of line but I/we need help to make sure Hillary or equivalent does NOT get elected and I think Step 1 is to counterect the MSM's distortion of Trump. He's no angel and in fact, I personally dislike him a little but I do respect him for doing what he's doing and I do beleive he wants to fix things and that he's Pro American. I don't know if this is considered a "vanity" post or not but if so, I apologize and ask for guidance. With that in mind, I have a question. How is FR best used? Is it mostly a collection of news articles found around the web and discussed by like minded people here? Or are there features I'm missing? Is there an outline of how to use the site?

Thanks, John

I know finding out that a story that portrays Trump as some type of super hero might be false can be crushing...

Trump didn’t own Tower Air...

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tower_Air

Maybe it happened, but it wasn’t a Trump airline.

One thing that is underreported is that BOTH Thomas Edison and Henry Ford had businesses that went bankrupt.

Google Edison Concret and Ford Airplanes.

Go Away Troll!
This idea is a good one, but if not done systematically, it's useless. A distraction, a red herring.

Let's begin with asking :

Good things Barack Hussein Soetoro Obama has done!

Then moveon (pun intended) to The fat, ugly unindicted criminal *itch Hillary...

First time poster here. Thank you, Jim for all your hard work, many thanks for having me. I’m from the NEcorridor; where we are used to Trump. If you saw some of the bulidings he has put up, but just the fact that he invested in nyc when everybody else was running away (it was a really one of the dirtiest & scariest cities back then), but here is alink to a 1991 article about him stopping a fight: From the Philladelphia Enquirer:

I have encouraged everyone on this forum to highlight the ositives of their candidates. Thanks for trying to do so. Unfortunately, many on this forum have itchy ears and prefer to pass on gossip about their candidates. That should end, as they will reap what they have sown. You, however will get somewhere by passing on positives.

I read somewhere that when Trump’s limo broke down or had a flat tire or something, a guy stopped to help and Trump paid off the guy’s mortgage.

Trump also allegedly flew Ryan White, the little boy with AIDS, to his medical treatments.

The word has become meaningless.

It's a raw, open wound and the people who use it love the pain/rage it induces.

I think you didn't get my drift.

It could have been ANOTHER airline, or some other similar gesture.

Snopes is notorious for lying by omission when it serves their purpose.

So, I suggested that perhaps there might be some there, there.

Don't trouble yourself, Popman.

I'll go looking around myself. I wasn't asking you to do anything - just to be aware of the nature of the enemy.

And Snopes is DEFINITELY the enemy. :)

Some have been questioned, some may be urban legends, like the story about a flat tire, some are repeated in these links.

Oops, didn’t see that this had been posted. Thought it might not have got approved.
Haven’t been here very long, I don’t even know how to do a general reply. Had to click and reply to someone. Maybe that’s how it works here? I’d heard the name freerepublic years ago but didn’t really surf until a few days ago and didn’t know much about it til I read the wikipedia page on it. Nice.
Trump sent me here obviously. ;)

Actually, I don’t remember how I stumbled upon FR this time.

I’m just worried the MSM will go all out on Trump in the general election even more than they already have and that it would be good for us (especially newbies like me) to have a central repository of talking points complete with links to the proof to do battle with the progs. That and of course Trump will be going up against malfunctioning voting machines I imagine. I did manage to find some and I know some are duplicates but I haven’t clicked every link in this thread yet. I do see some that I haven’t found. Here’s what I did find. I have them on my desktop in a text file.

Bought a kid a new bicycle because his was stolen. Not a big deal but....

1995
http://www.upi.com/Archives/1995/11/11/More-than-500000-watch-Nations-Parade/4721816066000/
Police estimated 500,000 people attended the largest military parade ever held in New York. Organizers, who placed the turnout at closer to a million, said the parade would not have been a success if it hadn’t been for real estate developer Donald Trump, who contributed $200,000 and raised another $300,000. ‘Donald Trump saved the parade,’ said parade director Tom Fox, himself a Vietnam veteran. ‘We had asked for donations from 200 corporations, and none of them came through,’ he said. ‘This donation is the single most important thing I’ve ever done,’ said a beaming Trump. ‘This is more important than all of my buildings and my casinos. This is my way of saying thank you to all the men an women in the armed services who have made it possible for me to become a success. Without them freedom and liberty would be gone.

Same instance

Organizers received no contributions from the 200 corporations they asked, among them military contractors to whom they presented documentation of profits made on weapons used in World War II.

“Zippo, dada, zilch,” Mr. Fox said. “Nothing from Northrup, United Technologies, none of them. To me, it’s a sin.”

By mid-August, organizers had a bank account of exactly $1.21. A request to airlines to donate blankets for aging veterans was turned down because logos might not be visible on television. Then Donald Trump, a nonveteran, agreed to throw in $200,000 as well as raise money from his friends, in exchange for being named grand marshal.

This time a million dollars, same parade I think

But soon the UWVC, and the New York Veterans Day parade began to grow, in part because of a $1 million matching donation from Donald Trump, and the parade began to grow.

1985

The centerpiece of the commission’s effort is the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, a glass-block wall, 70 feet long and 16 feet high, which is etched with excerpts from 83 letters - including Sergeant Calamia’s - that were written by or to the soldiers who served in America’s most unpopular war.

‘’It’s not just brick and mortar,’’ said Donald Trump, the real-estate executive who donated $1 million of the $2.5 million raised by the commission, which is also charged with financing programs for unemployed local veterans. ‘’It’s very much a living monument.’’

‘’I was a very strong opponent of the Vietnam War,’’ he said, ‘’but I also recognized that the people who went to fight were great Americans. I always thought they got a bad shake in life and never got their just recognition.’’

2013
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/11/03/trump-offers-10g-to-hero-bus-driver.html
Real estate mogul Donald Trump announced Friday that he would offer a $10,000 reward to the Buffalo bus driver who stopped a young woman from leaping off a bridge to her death two weeks ago.
Trump announced his intention via a Tweet that said “The bus driver who saved the woman from jumping off the bridge was a really cool, great guy. I’m going to send him 10-thousand dollars he deserves it!”

Donald Trump doesn’t just have the golden touch for business – he also has a heart of gold.
The real-estate mogul has been housing Jennifer Hudson and some of her relatives at the Trump International Hotel & Tower free of charge.
“She’s a great girl. And we’re protecting them well” “They are very safe.”
Hudson has been seeking refuge at the Trump holding since her mother, brother and nephew were murdered in Chicago on Oct. 24.

1988
http://www.jta.org/1988/07/20/archive/orthodox-child-with-rare-ailment-is-rescued-aboard-tycoons-jet
The private Boeing 727 of real estate tycoon Donald Trump arrived from Los Angeles at LaGuardia Airport Tuesday morning, carrying aboard an Orthodox Jewish child with a rare and still undiagnosed breathing illness.
Trump made his plane available for the special trip to New York after the boy’s parents, Judy and Harold Ten, called Trump and told him of their plight.
Commercial airlines refused to fly the child because he could not travel without an elaborate life-support system, which includes a portable oxygen tank, a suction machine, a breathing bag and an adrenaline syringe.

1986
https://www.buzzfeed.com/andrewkaczynski/donald-trump-once-saved-a-womans-farm-from-foreclosure?utm_term=.aqk95DonA#.uc9zpkqae
It was September 1986, and Annabel Hill, 66, was facing an auction where she would lose the farm that had been in her family for five generations.
Hill’s husband, Lenard, had committed suicide eight months earlier, 20 minutes before a scheduled auction, in a last-ditch attempt to save his property with life insurance money. The life insurance money wasn’t enough, covering only $175,000 of debts than ran in excess of $300,000, from two years of a drought that Hill said had ruined their livelihood. Even when several hundred acres of the 1,300-acre Waynesboro, Georgia, farm were sold, the now-widowed Annabel still found herself deep in debt and facing an auction.
That’s when real estate tycoon Donald Trump and a series of other personalities stepped in to help save Hill’s farm.

2014
http://www.newsmax.com/TheWire/donald-trump-donation-marine-andrew-tahmooressi/2014/11/11/id/606592/
Donald Trump has promised a $25,000 donation to Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, the Marine released Friday from a Mexican prison after 214 days of confinement and physical abuse.

I think a small part of me needed to convince myself that he’s not such a bad guy, not that there’s anyone else to vote for. I also have some family and acquaintances on facebook I plan to hit with this info. That “What’s on your mind?” at the top of the fb feed is really getting hard to resist. Looks like we’ve been given one final chance to save the USA and I want to do all I can. If I can convince 4 people, that’s 4 less for the beast and 4 more for Trump. That’s a gain of 8 technically.

Just over 100 delegates to go.

Hey, a series of equals signs get replaced with horizontal rules, cool

Thanks everyone

Guess I won’t use the equals signs for separators anymore. Makes it look like different posts.
