A Muslim Police Chief Inspector for Greater Manchester has indicated that, according to his understanding, “Freedom of speech does not mean freedom of offending culture, religion or tradition”.When asked if Mr. Khan and the police force generally support the right to offend religious beliefs, the Greater Manchester Police press office told Breitbart London: “I don’t think we support anyone who would want to say anything offence[sic]”.

“It’s a storm in a tea cup… It’s about promoting tolerance, freedom of speech, that’s all he meant with it. He didn’t mean for it to be taken in an offensive way at all… it’s ironic, freedom of speech is what he’s now getting in trouble for”, the press office added.

A Greater Manchester Police Spokesperson added in an official statement: “A GMP Chief

England already puts people in jail for SAYING something about muzzies, and doesn’t jail muzzies for starting a child sex abuse ring.

in the US, the famous case of jerry farewell v larry flint resulted in flint’s freedom of speech being supported.

his entire push, and that of the entire left, was and continues to be an effort to offend and attack Christianity.

today, doing the same to muslims is an offense.

you’ll excuse me if i don’t follow along ... i’ll be freely offending muslims, homos, and the entire left every chance i get

This man is an idiot, as are the Glasgow police.

I have railed against the abuse by the UK police of necessary and well meaning racial hate laws to stomp all over social media. This stems from yet another Tony B Liar and Labour law: the 2003 Communications Act. Meant to combat terrorist chatter and incitement, but now clearly used a weapon against any British person.

In fact there has been such a law since 1984, but from that year until a few years ago, it was never used in the way it is now. There needs to be a backlash and even legal changes.

Whilst I have no problem with the police combatting real messages of hate and incitement by real racists and extremists, its a disgrace how normal people are being targeted.

Wrong, the UK has jailed many Muslims for paedophile sex gangs.

Rotherham etc are a disgrace, but I have to correct the statement that nobody has been jailed. The shame is that it was allowed to go on for so long because authorities were scared of being called racist.

Based on our American experience, I would tend to question whether the laws to which you refer are really "well meaning," as opposed to being intended to undermine the traditional values of our respective countries, for ulterior motives.

Consider, for example, the antics of the American ACLU, which has posed as the champion of "civil liberties," for almost a century now. (Leftwing Word Games & Religious Freedom.)

The double standard, which always works against the defender of a people's traditions, is no accident.

I’d invite a visit. And make a few widows while I was at it.

This idiot may be Muslim, but 99% of the police behaving this aren’t. Its a police issue, not a Muslim one, believe me. This is much bigger than one silly officer.
