Limbaugh conducts experiment on Trump fans: ‘This is exactly what I was expecting’
Washington Times ^ | May 11, 2016 | Douglas Ernst

Radio host Rush Limbaugh used Wednesday’s show to do an experiment on Donald Trump’s supporters.

“I found a YouTube last night, and I’m gonna play this for you, and I’m curious to know how Trump supporters react to this,” Mr. Limbaugh told his audience before playing a 2012 clip from Fox News’ “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.”

Mr. Trump said at the time that he thought Hillary Clinton was a “terrific person.” He also called former President Bill Clinton a “really good guy.”

Mr. Limbaugh then used his email account to gauge reactions to the broadcast by the billionaire’s supporters. He also asked listeners to weigh in on the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

“This is exactly what I was expecting,” the host said after a commercial break. “One reaction is, ‘You know, this would make a great ad debunking how Trump is attacking Hillary because she’s a woman. This can just get rid of all of these attacks that Trump’s out there hitting her because she’s a woman, that Trump hates her or whatever.”

My response is it is too late now. We have a fork in the road. Choose one. Hillary or Trump.

Ah, so did lord McCain and a host of other ‘elected’ republicans. Good grief, Trump was NOT exactly able to move his buildings down to Palm Beach like some lazy mouthpiece for the GOPe.

Exactly. I recall McCain saying wonderful things about Hillary before (and probably during) the 2008 election.

He was A BUSINESSMAN at the time, and you don’t get far in multi-mega-million businesses if you piss off the politicians.

Mr. Limbaugh said many conservatives in the “Never Trump” camp would be “livid” at his experiment’s results because, “they don’t understand even now the depth of the bond that exists [between Mr. Trump and his supporters].”

Both the "Never Trump" and the "Trump is perfect" crowd both would be upset I would think.

"Rush, Levin and Beck received money from the Cruz campaign, they are still smarting from their butt hurt:"

Which doesn't address the issue in any way.

Trump says nice things about -everyone-. He is smart enough not to insult someone without a specific purpose of that moment. Then he works to meet in the middle soon afterwards. This is the mark of a man who is nice, then fights hard, then buries the hatchet if possible. Megyn Kelly is a perfect example.
Trump saying such things is exactly the same as people saying nice things about Limberger. After all he is a doper pill-popper who was up to his eyeballs doing exactly what killed prince. So if someone follows Rush, are they a blind zombie who supports opium addicts. The damned idjit.

Limberger is just doing his usual BS stinking up the environment. In this election he has really shown himself to be a shill for the GOPe.

But but but but but but but, Lyin’ Ted.

You Cruz supporters won’t stop!

Nobodies perfect!

Trump has changed.

Reagan was a democra at one time.

Thomas Jefferson was an adulter

Trump is a business man he had to get along.

I know I missed a bunch but that should help.

We really need to have serious exchanges here about Trump but it won’t be possible.

The Clintom machine should not be underestimated.
Trump should not be overestimated.

No way to tell Rush’s tone since I stopped listening to him months ago because of his anti-trump stance. But I’m betting this was done ultimately to make Trump look like a hypocrite. But most intelligent people know that a prominent businessman saying nice things about politicians who can and do influence their livelihoods is nothing new.

Frankly, I think Limbaugh is highly intelligent and very good at equivocation and reaction and convincingly explaining getting caught in the charade.

I myself seriously doubt he had the prescience to formulate and conduct this “experiment” of which he later speaks. Given his quixotic performance these past months in pooh-poohing Trump whenever he could and repeatedly telling us Cruz is a genuine conservative, he isn’t about ‘experiment’ to me.

To me, he is a man with unbridled success these last couple of decades in being the erstwhile conservative that sees through it all and really represents us working Americans. Hoorah....

The fact is this man hasn’t lived as we do for at least that time - decades.

The schtick, the jig is up Rush. Take your millions and go see an NFL game or something. You have nothing in common with me or MILLIONS.

Yes it does; you just don’t want to see it or admit it...

It’s either Trump or Hillary...

Trump: Save America...

Hillary: Screw America...

What side of the fence are you on????
