I can’t imagine NCIS without Dinozzo.

Yeah...they’re breaking NCIS. It was bad enough when Ziva left, and it was even worse when they spun off NCIS: Los Angeles.

Dunno how this will work out. Tony’s up there with Gibbs as a central character.

...fortunately I recently took up watching the last eight seasons through library collection.
I never watched originally....but I have noticed the writing seems different, the story lines are not as exciting as the previous 8 seasons...sort of dull to be honest. I’ll watch tonight.

Tony Trivia. During a few episodes, Tony refers to his uncle who made a fortune importing things like Swiss army knives. In reality, that was Michael's father, Michael Manning Weatherly, Sr. who himself made a fortune as a Swiss army knife importer.
Though my wife and I have enjoyed this show for many years, and with the exception of Person of Interest, the only broadcast show I watch, I occasionally get a bit jiggy when I see McProaby doing things via electronic surveillance that most FReepers would frown upon (not to mention the fact he does in in a few keyboard clicks).

The problem for Michael Weatherly is he has been very lucky to be on a hit show for 13 years. I hope he had a good residual deal so that he gets paid for the show being in syndication as that is where the real money is.
He should have stayed on until the show ran it's course.
Paul Guilfoyle, who played Capt. Jim Brass on CSI, stayed the course. Another guy who I hope had a good residual deal.
In any event most TV actors as lucky to be on one long running show and never are able to duplicate that success anywhere else. Good luck to Weatherly as I hope he finds another show that has a good run.

Spoiler predicition: Tony goes to Israel and saves Ziva. The relationship is rekindled and Tony stays with her.

. . . playing the charming goofball, NCIS Special Agent Tony DiNozzo.
Dinozzo isn't all that charming. He is in fact a self-centered, self-righteous bully whom McGee should have taken down and pounded until Dinozzo stopped moving, a long time ago.
Thanks for the years, Michael. You made the series a lot of fun and dramatic. We'll miss you.
