A petition calling to remove from the bench the judge whose sentencing in a high-profile Stanford University rape case has sparked outrage had attracted close to 100,000 signatures by Monday.
Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Aaron Persky last week sentenced former Stanford student Brock Turner to six months in county jail for the sexual assault of an unconscious and intoxicated woman in January 2015.
Opponents have accused Persky of being too lenient on Turner. Persky also attended Stanford, according to a biography of provided by the League of Women Voters.
A petition calling for his removal from office posted on the Change.org website on Saturday attracted over 95,000 signatures by Monday evening.

That fact that the woman in this case was drunk is a mitigating circumstance, and I think Judge Judy would agree. When it’s he said/she said and both parties are drunk, who do you believe?

He raped her and physically brutalized her while she was passed out. Debris was found inside her suggesting he also used a foreign object. He was apprehended because 2 passers-by noticed him going to town on her unconscious body, and when he saw them, he was tackled because he attempted to flee.
It’s entirely possible that these witnesses stopped a possible murder.
Drunk campus date rape (both were way drunk) is not the same as street-grab violent rape. Did people really expect him to get 5 years?
I think they just want to point out how unfair our judicial system is. Unless were talking about Judge Gonzalo Curiel of course who is completely impartial clearly. He's a wise Latino.

The MSM no longer allows comments (or allows them only if you sign in via FB) because their narrative is so very often at odds with facts.
Commenters will correct the untruths in an article, and the MSM cannot control people telling the truth, so they simply no longer allow comments.
I refuse to read any news source that disallows comments. The comments are where the truth is and the entertainment.

The media is having orgasms over this story. You have to keep in mind that this story is everything they wanted the Duke Lacrosse and UVA fraternity hoaxes to be—it’s their white whale. Finally an actual rape involving an actual privileged white guy. They will hold onto this story with all their might.
6 months in the county jail and a lifetime sentence to be known as a sexual offender. hmmmm. how many months in the county jail is hillary going to serve for a lifetime of crime, treason, and murder? none? yep. that’s right. none. how many months will slick willie serve for his lifetime career of forcible rape and molestation? none? thats right. its not what you do that counts. its who you are.
