This is a weird thing on a very unused garden blog I found. I've notified the place, Otten Bros. No email back. I worried about this.
Example: Here is what comes out if you feed the Gettysburg address to Doctor Nerve's Markov Page:
Four score and seven years ago our poor power to dedicate -- we here to dedicate a larger sense, we can not perish from the unfinished work which they who fought here have a portion of devotion -- we can not perish from these honored dead we can not hallow -- and dead, who here gave their lives that nation might live. It is rather for the people, by the earth. Four score and dedicated, can not have come to be here have died in vain -- and dedicated here gave the proposition that we can long remember what we can not perish from the great civil war, testing whether that that from these dead we say here, but it can not dedicate a new nation, conceived in vain -- we can not consecrate -- that war. We are met on this continent, a new birth of devotion -- we say here, have consecrated it, far so nobly advanced. It is for us to the last full measure of the living, rather, to that field, as a great task remaining before us the unfinished work which they who fought here highly resolve that this ground. The world will little note, nor long remember what we can never forget what they did here. It is rather for us the people, by the earth. Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this nation, conceived and dead, who fought here gave the last full measure of devotion to the great battle-field of devotion -- we here dedicated to the people, by the living, rather, to the earth. Four score and seven years ago our poor power to add or any nation so nobly advanced. It is altogether fitting and dead, who fought here dedicated to be dedicated here highly
The idea is to defeat spam filters that reject content that is not mostly “normal text”. Markov-chain generated text looks meaningful to a simple spam filter. To tell the difference between Markov and real text takes natural language understanding. That’s still a hard problem.
The sky *appears* blue.
They've been hacked!
They do have a blog (scroll down, and the posts become coherent), but it's obviously not a priority. It's obviously been hacked since they last looked at it. They need to call their web design outfit and ask WTF.
The site uses cookies to send you info about their blog....delete it....next time you go there see if it happens again
Funny you mention that. My 5 year reunion was held in the park across the street from my parent’s home. I was working on a car in the garage at the time, saw the group and decided my time was better spent continuing the project.
The ten year was held at one of my favorite restaurants. The photos were kinda cool, but I didn’t recognize 80% of the subjects.
Fifteen and twenty were again at the park.
Twenty fifth was again at the same restaurant.
Waiting on the thirtieth. Still haven’t attended one. The “alumni” I care to associate with, I do. The rest of the twits can all rot in hell.
Did I mention that I HATED EVERYTHING to do with school?
Nope. Not even if you are blowing 0.24 behind a Silicon Valley dumpster with pine needles up your ass.
Markov text is immediately recognizable to a human. To a machine, not so much, yet.
Go to their web site

There you can find the email under the contact us
Turns out it is. email@ottenbros.com
I don't know that I've ever gotten to the point where I wished that my fellow alumni would rot in hell, but I understand your reluctance to celebrate your time together in the purgatory of high school.
For the kids of my graduating class, the number one objective was to get the heck out of our broke down home town, and to carve out a real life somewhere else. I think most of us had spread to the four winds by the age of twenty one, if not sooner.
Useful post, thank you for teaching me something new today.
By posting here it is automatically reported to the NSA along with your response. They report it to the FBI. So no worries.
Thanks everyone for your sometimes funny replies. I was just curious what the Arabic appearing content said. I realize it would ‘read’ as a photo, not keystrokes. It just struck me as very strange. I thought someone here would be able to translate the Arabic portion. The English, not so much, LOL.
If you click on Flower Farm there is a blog listing.
I don’t work there. Just a long time customer. I was there yesterday in 120 degree heat in the greenhouse. Can’t beat half off for plants.
It is Urdu.
the word in the corner is "life".
I do NOT know why they did not tell me the rest of the words. Unless they only know some words, which is plausible.
Urdu is spoken in, as 0 calls it, Pockyston.
Thanks. Just looking for someone who might speak Arabic. Obviously that’s not you.
Why, if you don’t mind me asking? It’s in Urdu.
Do you want me to stop in there on my way to work tomorrow to ask them something for you?
I never looked at it that way.
