So Obama decided to warn everyone that Manhattan is about to turn into Atlantis.
"The majority of people believe in things like science -- and scientists. And so when scientists tell us that the planet is getting warmer and we need to do something about it, the majority of people think that's a good idea, let's do something about that, because we don't want Manhattan to be underwater."
Manhattan going underwater isn't science. It's science fiction.
It's the sort of thing you get from watching movies like The Day After Tomorrow where evil Republican politicians neglect the Flying Global Warming Monster and suddenly waves cover Manhattan and everything freezes.
That's not science. It's hardly even science fiction.

I don’t deny climate, I just happen to think anybody who claims to predict it is full of shit.
It was about 101 or 102 F on the front porch at 2pm today, it is now 11:30 pm and 42 F on the front porch.
That’s not even particularly extreme up here.
Manhattan will eventually be under water.

I was sure they probably did. I haven’t read it much less studied it because you know, the kitchen needs cleaned, I discovered fleas on my dog, today is hair wash day. Just too much other important things to do.
The last time The Won told the truth was in late 2008 when he said “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming this country”.

Money. It's always about the money.
One thing that seems to have no effect is the distance between the SUN and the EARTH, as far as it's elliptical orbit goes. In the Northern Hemisphere, we are closer to the Sun in winter, farther in summer.
Lot of serious climate guys will disagree with you on that. I mean hell, what heats the atmosphere? It ain’t CO2.
Of course it does. But the energy from the Sun hits the Earth evenly. It is the atmosphere and the tilt/spin of the planet that give it 'climates'.
Look at the moon which doesn't have an atmosphere. All day long, very hot, all night long, very cold. Day after day. Same.
