On this day in 1953, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, who were convicted of conspiring to pass U.S. atomic secrets to the Soviets, are executed at Sing Sing Prison in Ossining, New York. Both refused to admit any wrongdoing and proclaimed their innocence right up to the time of their deaths, by the electric chair. The Rosenbergs were the first U.S. citizens to be convicted and executed for espionage during peacetime and their case remains controversial to this day.

Thanks Onyx. My uncle passed away in 1990. He was my dad’s older brother. I remember my dad saying his office was right across the hall from J Edgar Hoover.
He also let my mother fire a fully automatic machine gun in some firing range that was in the FBI building if I remember correctly.
Their children grew up in a local town. I remember when I was young they would come out every year around this time and plead their parents innocence.
Funny, after the Russian government released many of their Cold War documents we did not hear that much from the boys. Evidently, there were guilty as hell.
Had much of the information that convicted the Rosenbergs gone public and not been sequestered for fifty years, McCarthy would have been validated that Communists had infiltrated the US government, the Truman administration, and many MSM outlets.
Hopefully the chair was set to “extra crispy.”

Political Correctness is a barrier to not only social issues being discussed without reprisal, but a cover to silence criticism of the government and the overreach of the current democrat administration in seeking to control every aspect of American life. Just what is the criteria for treason in America in 2016? Our country is being given away, piece by piece to hordes of immigrants who are brought here without any say so of the American citizens who will be responsible for their upkeep for decades to come. I think it is treasonous to destroy the very structure of the United States by presidential fiat, along with the cooperation of those whom we have elected to stand against this misuse of govt power. I remember the Rosenberg execution and exactly where I was that day. I did not feel sorry for them then or now. Back then even democrats elected anti communists and together with the Republicans held back the red tide for another few years. Time is running out for taking back our govt. America is being ruled, not governed. Until, and unless, balance is restored to our government as the constitution intended, our nation will continue to decline. The pace for such is rapidly increasing. Four gun bills are before congress tomorrow.

I read an excellent book on the Venona project...some if it remains cloudy, but some of it is so clear that rebuttal is impossible.
The Rosenberg information in Venona was one of those clear facets of it.
I think if Hillary wins, it’s going to get so bad that riots will start breaking out in regular occurrence in cities across the nation and eventually it will explode into an open revolt and its going to be extremely ugly because it’s going to be focused on pure anarchy, looting, killing rather than overthrowing the government. A lot of people are going to die unless some kind of leadership miraculously takes hold to focus it on overthrowing the government. It’s going to happen, absolutely if she wins, i cannot possibly see it not. She is a woman whose expertise is in creating absolute disasters of the worst kind and sometimes I wonder if she does it deliberately like what she did to the middle east, she’s an absolute psychopath.
