DENVER (AP) The American Red Cross issued an apology Monday for a water safety poster that some suggested had a racist message.
The cartoon poster showed children playing in a swimming pool. Nearly all of the white children's activities were labeled as "cool," while the children of color were depicted acting in unsafe ways and were labeled "not cool."

It’s hard to imagine the astronomical levels of bureaucratic stupidity that allowed this to get through.
Agreed, but I admit to being equally dumbfounded (even in these times we live in where this political correctness stupidity is rampant) that people get their panties in a twist about it.
Not as if there isn’t actual bloodshed and violence taking the lives of young men in places like Chicago to address.
But the same people who get crazy about this seem not to care a whit about that.
When I looked at that poster I saw a black child diving off a diving board. That’s indicative of a higher level of skill and appropriate behavior in and around water.
I think all commercials on television are racists. They always depict the white people as the losers, uninformed, doofuses. And the black commercial actors are always the ones in authority and making the right decisions. All doctors on drug commercials are black. That’s racist.
The poster in question is nothing more than race obsessed liberals inadvertent slip candidly expressing what they really think.
RE: “Nearly all of the white children’s activities were labeled as “cool,” while the children of color were depicted acting in unsafe ways and were labeled “not cool.”
A black kid a lifeguard and two white kids are not cool
2 white kids at the top are “not cool” (running and carrying a soda bottle) and apparently that’s not enough for the intard-net SJWs.
I guess they find the black life guard to be too “judgey” since she’s wagging her finger.
Solution, next time populate it with pandas instead.
A "racist" cartoon poster = weeks of outrage on the Twitterverse
Hillary as Sec. State, taking bribes from foreign countries for favorable treatment = radio silence
I know. Thousands dead every month in routine gang murders in the nation’s no-go zones and the media doesn’t breath a word of it. But publish an admittedly stupid and silly poster and OMG, suddenly it’s a global Black Lives Matter issue.
But black lives clearly don’t matter. Not to liberals. Not in America.
Yeah! Can't have people portraying reality, now. That's "not cool".
This is the third time I’ve seen this story here...and I still can’t figure out what the kid in the middle is doing that’s ‘un-cool’.
Drowning? That’s so not cool.
This is a video of a novice driving a jet ski into a jetty at the dangerous Newport Beach Wedge, last Saturday.

At the end when they drag the guy out you will note he has certain characteristics not often associated with water activities.
“When I looked at that poster I saw a black child diving off a diving board. Thats indicative of a higher level of skill and appropriate behavior in and around water.”
I saw that and tried to figure what he did wrong. Only thing I can figure is he dove too close to the other girl who was still in the water. He could have hit her. He was suppose to wait for her to move before he dove in, like the girl standing at the diving board.

It’s clear to me that too and that the black kids are the ones who do the uncool behavior 9 times out of 10. Having listened to Tommy Sototmayor this comes at no surprise. There have been pools in inner cities close due to black kids tearing it up. Then everyone is up in arms because the kids have no pool, yet it was their fault.
Wish the folks complaining about this were more concerned with inner city violence that kills young children, every day, everywhere.
