We saw no other option than to use our bomb robot and place a device on its extension to detonate where the suspect was
I do believe you get my point entirely.
A lot of replies here are tied up with rage against this shooter. Perhaps I am partially at fault with my title. Should have probably gone with whether this sets a dangerous precedent, rather than how people felt about this particular case.
“So, would you say anti-personnel explosives should be in the order of equipment for all police agencies?”
Maybe not “all”. Certainly for units that are fighting someone with military level training and wearing body armor.
Why is it so special to you how this killer was done in? Why would you want to risk the death of yet another policeman after 11 had been shot and five killed?
Once again, it's not about the killer, it's about the precedent.
“Once again, it’s not about the killer, it’s about the precedent. “
No, it’s entirely about the killer and ending his threat without risking the death of more policemen.
His death by blast wave is no worse than having his head blown off by a rifle round. Just less risky to the already savaged Dallas police force.
It’s a mystery why snowflakes are so focused on the means of his demise, but apparently that’s yet another gift of the Age of Obama.
This is an interesting fact to add to the story...
Dallas Police Chief David Browns son was killed by cops after fatally shooting a police officer in 2010

No problem at all. I give them credit for thinking outside the box.
What if they risked a team of fire fighters, that sprayed this cold blooded murderer with an onslaught of high pressure water, that resulted in an autopsy finding of death by drowning?
Kill 5 people (cops no less) and die by a flamethrower for all I care!!!
The police need morale boosters thanks to that scumbag. I’m glad they were able to blow that SOB away. Good time to test the system.
It’s a mystery to me why Snowflakes are never interested in risk to the public.
