I thought Hillary was still in Philly? They did say last night she was a ‘workhorse’.

Strange. My manure pile is not burning and I’m in Alabama. It’s sure a lot hotter here. Some people used to burn their manure piles instead of composting, spreading or selling the stuff.

multiple complaints July 5 about the smell and smoke emanating from a burning pile of horse manure

Even under near-freezing conditions, intense anaerobic decomposition can result in the phenomenon known as spontaneous combustion.

Has nil to do with alleged anthropogenic global warming.

If you think about it, manure is not really that bad a word. I mean, it’s ‘newer’, which is good, and a ‘ma’ in front of it, which is also good. Ma-newer , right?

I call BS on this one. I’ve been in the fire department here near Phoenix, Arizona for more than 20 years and have NEVER heard of a case of the spontaneous combustion of manure. Oily rags, yes; manure, no. If it was going to happen anywhere, it would happen here.

Why not just move all the horses to NYC? The people there would never even notice the smell.

Maybe the Democrats should have held their convention in NYC because they WANT their BS to catch fire.

It was just as hot in Philly this week. It’s amazing the Wells Fargo Center didn’t go up in flames.

These folks obviously know nothing about horse manure.

Guess what? If you pile a lot of wet hay, it will do the same thing. Amazing.

Methane from “ripening” manure ... it’s not only an agricultural phenomenon but fuels most of the hot air in the halls of Congress.

I live in Florida. It is hot here. As hot as it is in upstate NY for a much longer period.

Ocala Florida is the horse capital of the world. According to this article Ocala should be a molten ball of flames.

Very appropriate, since NYers think they’re hot shit. :)

Are they sure that wasn’t at the DNC convention? There was a lot of manure there and hot air.

I went to Hobart for four years and never even heard of Throop, which is probably about 25 miles from Geneva. Are they sure the smell isn’t the burning of the Israeli flags at the convention?
