When I was a child, I associated "muslim"with Malcolm X and Louis Farrakhan. As a teenager, I learned that Indonesia is the world's most populous muslim nation, and that only one in five muslims are Arab. As an adult, I have tended to associate Islam with Iran, which is overwhelmingly a Caucasian nation. In short, I have no racial profile for Islam. Islam is a religion, not a race. Race-baiting liberals like Paul Ryan and the fast-failing radio talker, Charlie Sykes, insist that any scrutiny of the practitioners of Islam is racist. This reveals their immature personalities; but, even more so, it reveals their deep-seated racism in that they think of muslims as Arab when only one in five muslims are Arab. No doubt, someone will claim that Ryan and Sykes are consistent conservatives. Says who? The same immaturity and racism has arisen over the word "Mexican." Old-time Mondale liberal Krauthammer must be angling for a Nobel in medicine: perhaps he can elucidate a sickle-cell-type finding for his new-found "Mexican" race. Should he start his studies with the Caucasian judge that Trump made a nationalist statement about? To confuse nationalism and racism is truly weak-minded; and, with Shapiro and Kristol, the confusion is magnified into childishness. The Mayan and the Aztec are racially quite distinct, and grown-ups will not deny that Mexico has much racial diversity. No doubt, someone will claim that Krauthammer and Kristol are brilliant adults. I was once accused of being a racist because I liked hockey.

I confess that Muslim doesn’t make me think of what race a person is, but it does make me think of what race they *probably* are not: That would be white.
I half agree..race and or sex.
There are white Muslims.
The shoe bomber for instance.
Yes. That’s why I said “probably”. There aren’t many. It tends to be a “minority race” religion once you get out of the middle east and third world countries.
And there is a reason for that. It is tailor made for those that feel “oppressed”.
Even Arabs are not a race in the sense that we understand it. There are white-skinned Arabs and black-skinned Arabs and everything in between. Thus, I don’t see Muslims as a racial group, but I do understand that Arab Muslims in particular have a long and sordid history of oppressing everyone else.
And lean toward fanaticism.
Well, hockey players do use white tape on white wood sticks on white ice to beat a black puck into submission, ergo, you’re a racist.
I was in a prison ministry band just after the turn of the century. It was amazing how blacks were getting turned to islam there. It utterly controls your life and if you follow its rules, then anything bad that happens to you is somebody else’s fault.
And irresponsible people need someone to tell them exactly what do do and when. They need a very regimented life, just like children.

What the comments here show is that if you want to profile based on being Muslim then how would you do it, since Muslims could be any race, color, or nationality?
I never did either, I was just using typical BLM logic in the same way they do.

The word Muslim immediately brings to my mind a person who has no business being in America. There is no way a Muslim can be an American. They will not assimilate.

Neoconservatism’s notion that we can export western values to Islamic nations is wild lunacy.
