An overprotective cat has unleashed furry fury on seven unsuspecting pitbulls out for a walk.
The 16-year-old pet named Baby attacked the feisty dogs as they strolled past the front of the cat's home on Monday in British Columbia, Canada.
Betty Jean Thompson, who owns the stereotype-breaking scratcher, said she tried to warn the walkers not to bring their dogs too close.

I have two dogs, one half American Staffordshire Terrier and half Black Lab, who’s immmensely self-confident and friendly, who’d probably to stand up to the article’s cat. OTOH my other dog, a Great Dane, is timid, loving and defferential. That cat would take him in an instant.

Could be!
I saw a couple of altercations and it ended when the cat sliced up the dog's nose. Short battles.
Of course, if the dog persists the only chances for the cat are to flee or roll onto it's back, grab the dog with front paws, and disembowel the dog with it's hind legs. It never came to that, at least in my observation.
Came here to see if anyone posted the GIF of Tara. Left satisfied.
“Some pits are made mean and raised/encouraged to fight/attack by AH lumberheads who own them. Other are just the exact opposite.”
Yup. One of our neighbors had a pit bull. He was a lover, not a fighter - and one of the nicest dogs I’ve ever met.
You bet. I’ve known some really nice pits who’d quickly shy away from most any confrontation including a house cat. Great dogs too!
Unfortunately other pits I’ve encountered could eat an entire room full of cats very quickly. Savage to the core, built like fire hydrants, one big muscle and they charge fast. Very dangerous animals. A house cat would certainly be no match. Btw, I have nothing but contempt for those who make these dogs mean and encourage them to fight. And I’m glad to see some of these people doing big league prison time for what their dogs have done.
Only one dog was hurt and be was the inevitable with the cat in his mouth.
I wonder how the cat got so close to the gator in the first place.
Keep the faith, FRiend.
I remember that
Our cat rules the house. We have 4 Cavaliers and a Golden. The Golden and 1 Cavalier are scared to death of the cat. They will not pass her in the hall or on the stairs. The Cavalier cowers and whines until we come rescue him. The Golden just sits there trying to avoid looking at her. If the others get in her way she swats them but while they respect her they are not scared like the other two.
