A maid of honor carried a bride's beloved dog down the aisle this month when the pup was too weak to meet her and the groom at the end.

Dogs are more loyal & loving than most people. Anyone who dislikes dogs is untrustworthy.
I agree. It’s also a good test when looking for a potential spouse.
Amen. I would take any dog over 99% of the people I know.
I’ll place my sentimentality wherever I want to. What are you...the Sentimentality Police?
What a sweet gesture to a loyal pet-everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I don’t agree with the it-is-just-a-dog crowd-that just seems like a shallow perception...
My much-loved Siberian Husky died peacefully in her sleep late last winter-she was 17-she was better than many of the people I know-she was pampered and loved her whole life-because she deserved it. She was poised to defend me any time she thought there was a threat-no hesitation-and if she or my cats obviously disliked someone, that person was never trusted or let out of my sight when they were on my turf or my jobsite. My Husky would have wanted to be carried to be right beside me, if she couldn’t walk there...
What a jerk!
Even Hitler liked dogs.
Anyone who doesn’t like animals-or who animals don’t like-is definitely not to be trusted and should be watched-the last person my Husky wanted nothing to do with was caught stealing another sub’s tools when he thought the rest of us had left for the day-unfortunately for him, we left a spy onsite after I shared my dog’s reaction to him with coworkers...
I am one who believes dogs are angels sent to the right people at the right time. I know my angels have helped me through hard times more than any human being ever has.
Are you a muslim?
Figure this one out. My sister who was in early/intermediate dime tea came home one day and a beautiful big dog mixture whole became known as Daisy, was in her fully enclosed, locked and fenced backyard. To this day no one knows how daisy got there. But through the the next year, she became my sisters always there companion . As her disease progressed, family hired a “thoroughly vetted” twenty four hour live in nurse to care for her. One day my nephew got a phone call that daisy had the nurse cornered and would not let the nurse near my sister or even out of the corner. My neph immediately went to the house.....on the table were a pile of my sisters rings, and money. If the nurse moved, . Daisy had her. My sister was crying and terrified, stating that the nurse had been hitting her and twisted her arm. The nurse said she was lying. Well, her arm was red, she had bruises on her stomach and. A huge red welt on her face. Daisy was my sisters angel.
Oh my....dementia.
“Its a butt licking leg humping critter and nothing more.”
Yeah, but you like it like that!
+1
Exactly. But someone quietly holding the dog in church would not get any publicity, now, would it? I love my dog, too, but this is stupid.
It was an outdoor wedding.
i doubt it makes any difference to him. You can’t fix ass.
Okay, I apologize.
I really should have just backed out of the thread. This is one of those issues where my comments will not change anyone’s mind, so it just comes off as snark.
You are correct.
Wow! thanks for sharing that! ( I obviously am not in the “dogs are just buttlicking leg humpers” category..)
