So this weirdness just happened on our way to Hoboken at 7AM this morning on the New Jersey Turnpike. On 1630 AM radio, a voice keeps repeating "Trump will go 26th". It went on for at least 5 minutes from when the radio tuned it in while scanning. Near the Newark airport I78 part of Turnpike. Just landed in a Jason Bourne movie.

1630am is also one of the frequencies used by those Christmas lights controller thingies that you tune your radio to, to hear the music, so maybe not from the ‘real’ radio station at all. Maybe from another car, even.

Yes. You see, sometime when I was in high school, in the late 80s to early 90s, there was a disgruntled employee at B93 FM in Austin (jingle: "Austin's hottest hits, B93!"). I think he was a DJ, but can't remember for sure. He'd been fired, or at least that was the rumor. Anyhoo, he barricaded himself in the studio and played "Hit the Road, Jack" for three or four days straight. Over and over and over. 24/7. I feel like the station's listenership prolly took a dive during the Jack Out, because...you know...and yet, it was oddly compelling. You didn't want to miss anything...what if the DJ went (more) nuts and you missed it? What if the station finally came on with some explanation and you weren't around to hear it? The standoff ended eventually. I have no memory whatsoever of how it ended or what ever became of the guy.
I feel like this "Trump will go 26th" situation is almost identical to the DJ Ray Charles hullabaloo, except not at all the same.
If it had said "Trump will go 24th" there would be no mystery at all. And I think you know what I mean.
LOL!! Now i have to go watch it again. There were only three guys, so if there’s a Clarence, Over, Roger and Victor, i’m messing something up!! :)
IIRC, the character played by Kareem speaks to the one played by Peter Graves first.
“You have clearance, Clarence.”
Graves replies “Roger, roger,” then asks the navigator, “What’s your vector, Victor?”
I hear both... clearly. Strange, the whole thing.
And I cannot hear April 26th, just will go 26th. In any of the follow up stories, did anyone else in that local area hear this or just this one guy that recorded it? Hoax?
