I am a new poster so please bear with me. I feel compelled to post about abortion. About 25 years ago I had one. I have regretted that ever since. I feel led to speak about this. Planned Parenthood doesn't help women. My experience was not warm and fuzzy. They do not try to change your mind. They do not do mammograms. They are like a factory, sending girls in with a mission. There were about 7 other ladies with me. They show a video about the procedure and ask if there are any questions. Then one by one you are led in the room. Cold and sad. After it is done you rest about 30 minutes then you go on your way. No trying to change your mind. I left with my baby in the trash. I have not and will not ever get over this. Please pray for me.
I understand, and I’m so sorry.
I’m so sorry for your loss. The lies about abortion are deep and ubiquitous. Please try to forgive yourself and your ignorance at the time. You’re not alone in your feelings.
Prayers.
Just telling your story may help many others and ease your pain. Don’t stop, and welcome to this site.
It's not much that I can do, but, one of the reason's I'll be voting against Hillary Clinton is her support of late term abortion.
Love and prayers from us.
May you find comfort in the arms of Jesus.
Be assured that there is no sin too great for Him to forgive the repentant soul.
Rest in His love, sister.
Ivy, if you haven’t, I urge you to get post abortion counseling!
There are excellent organizations and caring people who can help you.
Blessings!
“Planned Parenthood doesn’t help women”
“They do not do mammograms.”
Yea I’ve been trying to tell FReepers that for years now.

As an art student, Martin Hudáček of Slovakia was moved to create a sculpture to draw attention to the devastation abortion can bring to the woman, and to the fact that through the love and mercy of God, reconciliation and healing are possible.
The sculpture shows a woman in great sorrow grieving her abortion. The second figure in the work is the aborted child, presented as a young child, who in a very touching, healing way, comes to the mother, to offer forgiveness.
Martin, who named the work Memorial for Unborn Children, said the sculpture also expresses hope which is given to believers by the One who died on the cross for us, and showed how much He cares about all of us.
You have my prayers, Ivy Lane.
I caught a bit of the Indiana governors debate between Mike Pence’s successor, Eric Holcombe and the Democrat candidate John Gregg.
“The Mustache” Gregg, repeated that mammogram lie when he was rattling off all of the wonderful, incredible, life-saving things that PP does.
Your right and you were betrayed by the people you trusted. You know in your heart if they talked to you a little longer you would have changed your mind.Your baby forgives you and so do I.Take comfort in that.Being lied to is almost unforgivable. There is a group of woman who had abortions that console each .Freepmail me if you want the number.I love you,Fatima
PS You had a boy and let’s name him Micheal.
Welcome to FreeRepublic.
Yes, my family will pray for you. I might suggest that you visit your nearest crisis pregnancy center. They have experience dealing with cases like this, even from long ago. Many of the women who work there were in the same position.
God revels in forgiving repentant sinners and suffering souls who seek Him.
If you are Catholic, I strongly recommend resolving this starting in the confessional, or meeting with a good priest if you prefer.
God loves you. Unconditionally.
There is nothing that you do that would ever change how God feels about you. His love is the love that a father has for his children.
Tell us where you live and I am sure we can help you.
Ivy,
Nothing can ever separate us from Gods love.
Christian pregnancy centers counsel women who have gone through the trauma of an abortion. Many times the volunteers themselves have experienced what you went through and now help others. You’ll find GOD’S love, forgiveness, and spiritual healing and hope for your future there.
Prayers up for you, Ivy...
My wife of 30 years this past May, had a very similar experience, about 35 years ago, long before we met. Those demons caused lots of problems for many years... These are problems that prayer and faith in God have finally overcome, but it has taken many, many years.
Its my understanding that Ms. Roe, of Roe V Wade also felt the same regrets, if it helps to know you are not alone.
Prayer is the answer, I will tell you from personal experience, it helps a lot more now later in my adult life, when a majority of my prayers are simply saying thanks for little things daily... instead of only praying when I needed something.
