Experience with pro-life

I am a new poster so please bear with me. I feel compelled to post about abortion. About 25 years ago I had one. I have regretted that ever since. I feel led to speak about this. Planned Parenthood doesn't help women. My experience was not warm and fuzzy. They do not try to change your mind. They do not do mammograms. They are like a factory, sending girls in with a mission. There were about 7 other ladies with me. They show a video about the procedure and ask if there are any questions. Then one by one you are led in the room. Cold and sad. After it is done you rest about 30 minutes then you go on your way. No trying to change your mind. I left with my baby in the trash. I have not and will not ever get over this. Please pray for me.

Healinghearts.org is another place to go for help, and most Pregnancy Centers either offer post-abortion workshops or can lead you to a resource for help. You are in my prayers, know you are not alone.

The early feminists, Susan B. Anthony and others, were overwhelmingly pro-life. This organization follows in their footsteps. This link from their website may give you some comfort. So will we, here. Please keep in touch.

You are not alone. A great many have and are being deceived by this greatest deceiver of all mankind. But there is one greater. His words are:

Matthew 12:31 And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven...

I'm sorry for what you've been through. And I pray you find comfort and peace through the love and forgiveness of our Savior Jesus Christ.

I pray more women, who've been through what you've been through, also seek His forgiveness, as well as this entire nation.

You are in my prayers. Please join the Church, go to confession and do the following that we all have to do daily:
Regret: I should not have stolen a pen from the store.
Embarrassment: The store clerk said, “What’s in your bag?”
Remorse: I promise to never do that again.
Guilt: I can’t believe I did something so stupid.
Shame: Wow. I feel horrible.

Stay at remorse, heal, pray and use holy water daily.

Hello, Ivy. Your sincerity in regretting your actions and your determination to never do it again is repentance, and God loves a repentant heart. He can’t wait to forgive you, if you haven’t already asked. You do have to forgive yourself, and He will gladly help you with that. After all, you are his much beloved daughter!

You’re in my prayers. Please accept our Heavenly Father’s gracious mercy; it endures forever and will never fade. Someday you will meet your little one and will only share pure love and no sorrow in your reunion.

I'm a man, 65, prolife activist for nearly 20 years. Serious Catholic.

1)Name your baby. Give him or her the personhood that came with conception.
2)Join Rachel's Vineyard or some similar support group.
3)Do something with the life remaining to you to speak out on behalf of the unborn,
such as abortion mill witness, pregnancy counseling. 4)Forgive yourself, because if
you have sought God's forgiveness with true contrition, He has forgiven you, and
yours is not to submerge in remorse, but to move forward for God's purpose.

Father God, Your will be done. Thank your for all the blessings and deliverance you give to us, this Your Sabbath day and everyday. We honor You. We worship You. We glorify Your Name. Forgive us our sins and shortcomings. We don’t deserve anything from You, but I make bold to ask that You bless this broken woman’s honest confession. I ask your Son, the Great Physician to save and heal Ivy: body, soul and spirit. As she has persevered in the face of long suffering for her lost child, I ask that You send to her Your bright Hope, Peace and Comfort. In Jesus’ Name with thanksgiving. Amen.

Dear FReeper: our Great Redeemer lives and is ready to forgive and reconcile with you—if you but believe and ask Him. in faith i believe your baby is with Him and has already forgiven you.

No one can touch your regret. that’s the evidence of your repentance. but as the Psalmist says: “...a broken and contrite heart you, O God, will not despise.” Go to the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the answer.

Ivy, many pro life pregnancy centers do post abortion counseling (free). You may want to set up an appointment for that. I don’t know where you are in your grief but usually talking about it with well trained counselors, and talking it over with women in similar circumstances, can help you to find some peace.

Yes indeed....I too should have recommended a ‘crisis pregnancy center’

You can get all the help you need right there!

A crisis pregnancy center has NO connection with Planned Parenthood

Yom Kippur comes early this year. Even the great Rabbi Nachman commented how all must confide their troubles to another to alleviate the pain. Don’t despair!

Atone directly to Hashem, never do it again, and you’ll be forgiven.

Thank you for your work against PP. Your voice is now a very strong one. They have powerful voices but your efforts will wake some people up.

"Please pray for me."

If you are in Christ, and there is something in your past that worries you, and you have repented of it and you have placed your faith in Christ,
know this, that Jesus Christ has fully satisfied the wrath of God on your account – He bore that wrath, and God crushed Him, not you, because God is gracious to you.

And if you are an unbeliever and you think that God can’t forgive you, don’t listen to the lies -
“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18) –
there is forgiveness in Jesus Christ.

It is a shame your experience is as you recall. Apparently your elective abortion experience is NOT shared by all women who undergo this procedure. {https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1130374/

http://americanpregnancy.org/unplanned-pregnancy/abortion-emotional-effects/

http://www.apa.org/pi/women/programs/abortion/}

Often it is therapeutic or must be undertaken because the woman was raped by a man of a race not her own, or because the family has 10 children already and she/and/or the baby may die if she bears another child.

You might well benefit from grief counseling and from other services of that nature at this point in your life.

Some resources for you:

To find a Christian pregnancy care center that offers post-abortion counseling:

https://www.care-net.org/find-a-pregnancy-center

For post abortion healing:

https://www.facebook.com/RamahInternational/

I can personally vouch for the founder of Ramah International.
She has had a similar experience to you.

God bless you, ivy—God can make something beautiful out of something bad. Just follow Him.

When I was young, single and stupid I was the cause of two abortions, never even thinking of a child being the victim. My prayers have been for forgiveness and trying to right my evil by opposing abortion now.

Sometimes it makes me feel like a hypocrite, since I “benefited” from it at one point in my life. But I’ll suck it up and pay the price in guilt.

And I will add to my prayers you and others in your position, especially the two who were my fault.

We get in trouble when we try to do Hashem’s job ourselves.

Hashem is the master of forgiveness. :)
