Just voted somewhere in the NE. Paper ballots and a scanner. About 60 people in line and it moved quickly. Took 10 minutes.
It was funny, the ladies working the desk were asking people to go online to get their election district. The idiot behind me was typing "pole" instead of "poll" on his phone to get the ED. IDIOTS!

I live in the bluest part of New Jersey, Hudson County. Lines were about 50 long when I got there at 6:25. I was out in 15 minutes though, as they were quite organized. Given where I live I trust they were mostly voting for the witch. School board election here too, and volunteers electioneering across street from the school where polling took place were quite numerous and quite annoying.

Democratic Mayor candidate standing out front no more than 10% of people acknowledge her.
Overheard election official say they are going to run out of ballots. Get out early and vote!
Good point. I didn't need one; I had studied all of the issues beforehand and knew which way I was voting, even for the initiatives. And perhaps the Republicans just didn't care to be hassled if they were caught carrying a salmon voting guide. Not everyone had a guide - although nearly every AA and Latino voter had one (save one young AA lady - I can only hope!).

So happy to live and vote in Louisiana. We are RED (for presidential elections anyway) and I will never stop fighting to keep it that way.
Huntington Indiana before work as always. In 6:20 out 6:32. Had to stand in line and parking was crowded. We’ve went to vote centers so about 20% as many places to vote now.

We are Trump voters in deep blue fairfax county/ falls church area and we didn’t need the sample. We saw a few friends who we know are trump voters and they didn’t have the sample either. Connolly runs unopposed. Disgraceful.
Still, from the looks of it I would say the turnout in the suburbs and small towns in going to have to be pretty darn big for Trump for him to win Virginia.

Sorry to hear that. In Virginia, an ID is required. The poll worker in charge of the line repeated it often to those waiting, that one form of picture ID was required: driver's license, passport, work badge, government ID, or military ID. As we entered the polling place they told us to have our picture ID ready to present to the workers.
Virginia, CD 11 - Occoquan. Polls opened at 6AM, arrived about 6:30, out the door by 7AM. A long, steadily-moving line. Relatively quiet, except for a few neighbors in conversation.
On to Chik-Fil-A for breakfast and (more) coffee.
I also made sure I wore my red shirt this morning! MAGA! :-)
My husband and I are unaffiliated voters in Colorado. We dropped off our ballots last week; I’ve never early voted before, but it was actually really nice to be able to sit down and take my time with it! We then just put them in a ballot drop box in town.
We have an 18-month-old boy who is a Tasmanian devil in public places, so it was the best option for me. I did not want to take my chances at the polling place this morning.

Upstate NY. Never went this early before. Got to the fire station at 6:15. Couldn’t find a place to park so I made my own space. 2 districts in this particular spot vote there. I was 12 people deep in line to sign my name and get a ballot. 2 reader voting machines were there, only 1 worked. I was done at 6:30.
I had the same experience. There’s usually 20 to 30 at the poll I go to at 6:00 AM. This morning as I drove there the parking lot was chock full and call were lined up for blocks. I’ve never seen anything like it. I plan on going back around noon - if it’s still that crowded I wait as long as it takes.
A line of about 70 or 80 was at the Sarah’s Creek precinct in Gloucester Point, VA at the 6 a.m. opening. It moved quickly through.

Long lines at 6:00 am in my voting place in Shreveport, LA. Even longer than 2012. High minority population in this area. Somewhat surprising that so many are here. 2002 and 2004 I walked right in and voted in less than 5 minutes.
