My spider sense is tingling on this.
I have not seen any reports about this in the media, yet. I called the coffee shop, they hung up on me. I called the 13th precinct, and the officer there (nice guy) just told me to check the blotter in the papers. I didn't push him like I should have.
She claims A Trump Supporter started yelling about "Hamilton, and racist foreigners", which caused the woman to throw water at him. He then blocked exit to the shop for an hour, then later got arrested pepper spraying some other minority.
I frankly do not believe this. I want to expose it. Does anyone know of any resources I can access myself?
I checked NYPD's twitter--so far nothing. I found the 13th precinct's twitter feed--even more nothing. I called the 13th. Nothing. I am wondering if any of you can help me. two minutes of your time can stop the spread of misinformation. I'm not putting up with this crap anymore. If it did happen, I want the guy's name public, so he gets roasted. But if it didn't...
Odd just heard a radio report (in Texas) about someone in NYC acting up related to Hamilton and racist comments. Like he got kicked out of the theater for interrupting the show.
Vicinity of the theater?
And not everything makes the blotter in a way that is tracked. When I was the victim of armed robbery on the sidewalk, I immediately filed a report to a police officer (2 different ones actually, both involved in a DWI task force; the first got the hell out of the area, the second took my statement but it wasn’t until much much later, years, that I noticed he omitted the ARMED detail in my sheet so when I was searching for incidents of violent crime in my neighborhood, it never ever appeared).
The police know what happened, they pulled up shop on their “task force” for 6 months after that, no sense in risking pulling over an armed criminal when you’ve got a ticket task force revenue thing going.
I had a very similar experience just a few days ago. A woman in Portland OR posted on facebook about a hate crime. A "white man" had grabbed a gay flag from a store and burned it. When he was confronted he knocked a woman down and beat a man - and then ran off (lol).
I feigned ignorance and asked why weren't they reporting it to the police, that he could strike again. She said the police were "on it" and the local paper was "on it."
I checked the PPD twitter and FB pages, and their web site. Nothing. I contacted the paper. They wrote back immediately and asked who to contact. They had heard nothing about it and were very concerned.
Needless to say, it's all made up. People were urging her to report it to SPLC, which she did of course. It was also shared over a hundred times! And those 100 people probably shared it. These stories get around so fast. It makes me sick.
Overactive but, small minds in their ever shrinking world...
I live in NYC and who gives a ####?
I would have on Nov 7th.
Now I just laugh :)
NYPD police have a LOT of #### to deal with and even if this nonsense did happen, it ain’t at the top of their list.
All you to know about NYC is that the lines for Chick Fill A goes forever. So liberal aren’t that idealistic :)
There use to be one around the corner from my friend’s diamond store on 47th.
Really? Cool.
Yeah I forget where this one was but I saw it a couple of times while interviewing.
I THINK downtown. It was PACKED.
No, that was in a traveling production in Chicago.
I agree. That's why I want to put a stop to it in some small way. Over 100 comments and 3K shares. If I have to, I will contact all of them and tell them the truth if I find out she's lying.
aka “fake news”
