Could any of the other 16 Republican's have defeated Hillary?

Posted on 11/28/2016 3:21:02 PM PST by MNDude

Now that the election is in the past, and we now have the insight of looking back, do you think any of the other Republican candidates running for congress could have won the general election against Hillary?

If so, which other candidate(s) do you think also would have defeated Hillary, and which important swing states that Trump won or lost do you think they would pick up?

Absolutely NOT.

Although some of the deluded, like Jebby and Kaisch, probably think they could have.

Rubio would have given it the best go, but he still would have lost.

Jeb would have been curled up in the fetal position back in August.

In an honest election almost any of the R candidates could have beat HIlLIARy, she being so seriously disliked and distrusted

but with the rigged election the DNC/Soros/Obama’s illegal immigrants etal.....???? ....and the 24/7 mass media propaganda war for HilLIARy’s election............all day and all night, all channels.... I think Mr Trump may have been the one and only R candidate who could have, did overcome all that...

No.

Most would have been crouching in the corner as soon as she raised the Woman card.

That was what she had intended early on. It just didn’t work against Trump.

The post-election "what if's" are getting old.

Only Trump could beat Hillary.

Santorum was my first choice.

Cruz was my second.

Both of them would have lost decisively against Clinton.

None of them could stand the blistering heat from the enemedia
Some are too RINO , some are too gentlemanly, and others are so firmly entrenched that they are "owned" by the lobbyists.
Only Trump, was unencumbered by dangling allies or reliance on a national party for political fund raising could endure; the backbiting by his own party contributed to his success.
Voters were still too pi$$ed at the national organization and Paul Ryan for their earlier treachery; the voters needed a 'Clean candidate'.
Not only that, but most of the other candidates had political agendas that held them back; Trump came in unfazed and not beholding to anyone, as evidenced by his 'unusual' campaign style and self-financing .

I was almost a never Trumper. I thought he wasn’t a serious candidate until the last 2 weeks of the campaign.

I don’t think any other candidate would have had as many rallies.

I also think the other candidatests would have used traditional campaign tactics and those would not work.

Trump’s team had to think outside the box because of limited funding and traditional republican support. They were campaign genuses.

I voted for Trump, but more of against Hillary vote.

However, reading about the campaign afterward has made me a fan of him and his team.

I hope they take the same unconventional appeoach to running the government.

Absolutely not. I have said it aloud many times for over a year. He was the only one who could have done it. I felt if Trump became the candidate and then lost, at least we’d know the truth, that hope was gone for the turning of our country.
Hallelujah.

No, they all suffered from “Lazio Syndrome” that is they were afraid to attack Hillary because they thought it would make them look “mean.”

So they all would have in effect given her a free pass.
