I assume the lancet was fresh until the 1st victim. After that......... I hope the school and authorities toss the book at this idiot. He thought it was "funny".

FALLSTON, Md. (AP) — A Maryland high school student faces assault and other charges after authorities say he brought a lancet to school and pricked nearly two dozen students.
The Harford County Sheriff’s Office says the Fallston High School student used the lancet on 23 classmates in two classrooms and a hallway Thursday. Some victims reported being struck in the neck.

I remember something like this happening back in the 1980s AIDs scare.
Since he had no way of knowing the HIV/hepatitis status of the people he stabbed with that thing, I think he should be charged with attempted murder - or reckless endangerement at the very least.

Because of that risk, this "prank" needs to be treated as the felony it is. Someone with that little sense belongs behind bars until he's old enough that our children will not have to be near him.

The School Year is only half over. Some kids may wait until early June of 2017 to get even with this kid. That’s how the pattern of settling scores used to be. He needs to be placed in an Alternative School unless this is out of character.
