Boston students plan class walkout to protest Trump
Hundreds of Boston Public Schools students are planning to walk out of classes Monday in protest of President-elect Donald Trump’s “inexcusable statements” and “harmful policies,” with the end goal of building a “student-led resistance against the Trump administration,” organizers said...
More than 540 people have indicated, as of last night, on Facebook they plan to participate in the walkout,
Boston Public Schools responded to news of the walkout with an automated call to students and staff warning that students missing class time will be marked absent...
“It has come to our attention that students are planning a potential walkout for Monday, Dec. 5, at 1:00 p.m,” BPS said in the phone message. “BPS believes in the importance of student voice and advocacy. However, we strongly discourage students from missing class time. Students who miss class time will be marked absent for their missed classes. Families will receive an automated phone call that informs them of these absences.”

Indeed, I asked one of the teens how school was the day of the election, and they said they watched TV, and the teachers were cussing Trump. He said the kids thought it was funny.
And any absent marks can be expected to be pardoned in secret.
If I were a teacher in Boston, today would be a great day for a pop-quiz. A big pop-quiz. Unexcused absence = zero on the quiz.
Indeed. Trump is not politically correct, and that alone is a mortal sin in the eyes of these secular Democrat Pharisees. He leaves some things to be desired (as does the Rep. party), but there is no contest next to the Democrats and Clinton.
Yeah. This “anybody who skips class is gonna be penalized” stuff is a cover story so parents won’t blame the teachers.
Ahh, well they should change that to reflect reality. Else they are being paid to not teach, no?
