PLANO, TEXAS A Plano high school teacher was arrested last week and accused of having a sexual relationship with one of her students.
The student, a 16-year-old boy, told police he had a relationship with his algebra teacher, Alaina Ferguson, in which they had sex on a park bench in Lewisville, in the back of his pickup after a football game and in her apartment several times, WFAA reported.
The relationship began when the boy wrote his Snapchat username at the top of his algebra test at Plano Senior High School and Ferguson contacted him through the social media app, WFAA reported. She was living with her fiance during at least some of her relationship with the boy, court documents said.
“Ms. Ferguson told [the student] that she knew it was not the right thing to do, but it felt right at the time, and that she was going to break it off with her fiancé because she didn't feel anything with him,” court documents state, according to WFAA.
Ferguson, 23, faces a charge of sexual assault. She was booked into the Collin County Jail on Nov. 30 and posted the $100,000 bond a day later. The Plano school district told WFAA that Ferguson was hired in August and resigned in October.

People own their decisions and have to live with them. One cultural observation I will make is that Hollywood, especially in the last 10 years, has done a lot of “sexualizing” of young adult male actors in roles of 17-19 year old teenagers. (See Twilight as an example) Not dismissing ownership of her actions, just pointing it out because it’s something my family has noticed much more commonly recently.

I seriously think all Jr. High, and HS teachers should be 45 years of age and older.

When I was 16 I couldn’t even get the hot 17-year old girls in the class ahead to date me.
So many modern women are train-wrecks... triply so for the liberal ones, and most teachers are liberals. I won’t date teachers, not even with my new post-marriage “amusement park ride” outlook on relationships.
So far in the post-marriage era, of 4-near relationships, first turned out to still be married—and to an ex-vet at that—which really pissed me off, second was an alcoholic who was passed out drunk when I came by to pick her up for a movie, third was a single mother with various issues including financial who was looking for a sugar daddy, and the fourth apparently tried to perpetrate credit card purchase online using one of my credit card numbers—that didn’t work out very well for her.
Figures a school teacher would cheat on her fiancé with a teenager. Its a jungle out there, and even worse when you are 48 like me.
Her fiancé dodged a bullet with that one. For guys these days, best to stay single. I’m never going to remarry and I’m trying to save up money so that I have something to leave for the boys, and of my two sons, if one marries and the other stays single, ALL of the money will go to the one who has the good sense to stay single.

Taking Algebra in High School? I thought most kids take Algebra now in 5th grade. Maybe it was “Advanced Algebra”. Sounds like he was working the right angles with his teacher!

I used to work on the fringes of the educational system and will tell you that I learned of several affairs between teachers and students. In one case the parents knew. The pair got married and last I knew were still married some twenty years later.
The culture is what's driving this. Do a search, start with the television shows and then go to the Internet. Then look at the indoctrination they are force-feeding our children in the elementary levels. This is a concerted effort to bring more sex into the schools. Why?
The answer is obvious. It is part of the fundamental transformation of this nation.

Yep, don’t want to get banned, but to put it in stark terms, was their intimacy worth it? Did she experience some deep orgasms which provide her with a lifetime of memories and it was all worth throwing away a teaching career for???>?
Maybe not. She might get assigned to teaching in the jailhouse.
My daughter is a teacher. She worked damned hard to earn her degree, and then five times harder finding a job after she had graduated.
I just find it hard to believe someone would throw that all away for a couple of quickies.
Alaina obviously didn't do the math!
She appears to be not guilty, but I would have to see a full length photo first to confirm that.
