What we know as lefty today tends to the hypocritical. They exacerbate problems and then complain about the thing they have exacerbated.
Every thing should be cared about, commensurately, and from all sides. Seldom does a handicap appear that doesn’t have some compensatory virtue.
I remember, very unproudly of myself, how there was a kid born with no arm but had a prosthesis, who I called “Crutch-arm.” Well, that didn’t get to him, at least that it showed. And far later in my life, in high school, it was ole “Crutch-arm” who drove the pickup truck pulling a set of parade floats, one of which I was a costumed character on. Zero grudges. That taught me more about caring than any amount of haranguing could have.
I wouldn’t encourage kids to do this, but at least the first answer when they do is not to fly off the handle, but to gently and caringly explain a better way.
If she wants to attack them she should use the BLM "Bulletproof" T-Shirts...

this is personnel for her. not everything is about politics. she has every right to voice her displeasure with the corporation selling the item just as the company has every right to sell the item. there is nothing wrong with shaming the company publicly and unlike a lot of people she has a platform to do it and if Wall Mart wants to be connected to items like this she will let them no that a lot of people are not happy to see the item.
Perhaps it gets people to consider more categories of qualities than their common attention.
Being school smart is a category that has gotten a lot of attention. However as I live my life, I find that, other than one possible way to make a living, and under certain other occasional conditions, it isn’t even essential. Most of the important things in my life that I missed weren’t about being school smart at all, but about being heart smart.
I feel sorry for the kid who’s school smart but nothing but. They are in a worse “retard” position than the other way around.

political correctness is when some one decides to let society do there thinking for them and over reacts to something that is said or done. there is nothing wrong with voicing your displeasure with what some one says and does. there is something wrong with trying to pas a law or organizing a protest over something like A mug that says “got retard”. all she did was call them out and ask if they really wanted to be a company that sold this mug. if she had tried to tell them they could not because it was a crime or the government should stop this then we are getting into political correctness. all she did was some good old fashion public shaming something that has its place.

I’d have totally bought that coffee mug. People need to get over themselves. If there’s a mug on the market you find offensive DON’T BUY IT. Move on with your lives, and stop screwing with everybody else’s. I personally find One Direction merch offensive but I’m not trying to get it removed from the market. Suck it up people, there are varying opinions and tastes, just because it’s outside of yours doesn’t mean I shouldn’t be able to buy it.

I know. But it’s not any more. You can’t call your black friend a Negro any more either. Now the R word is an insult. People with intellectual differences deserve respect. They can’t help how they were born or how they are now (head injuries, Alzheimer’s, whatever).
I disagree, I think what our side has lacked was the ability to visibly push back against the left in a way that resonates in the meme-driven, soundbite, text message culture we live in today.
Cultural guerrilla tactics is something the left has practiced for a long time. We need to be able to create our own counter for their tactics.
This year, our side did very well in pushing the left back on the field of ideas. Trump knows this game well. When he jumped on Internet efforts to turn Hillary’s deplorables comment into a badge of honor and gave it press (Les Deplorables) he captured the mind share of many people.
The artist who is pasting satirical posters with Trump and friends as Star Wars figures and calling it “Rogue Won” around Hollywood just to tweak the left is a good example of this. The artist who created the Obama-Joker-Socialism sticker is another good example.
Now’s the time to fight back. The left suffered a big defeat with Hillary’s loss. I’d prefer we don’t “go wobbly” and continue to press our advantage, wherever we can find it.
