OCEANSIDE, N.Y. (AP) -- A New York couple was horrified when a UPS delivery that they thought was a Christmas present turned out to be an assault rifle.

Newsday reports (http://nwsdy.li/2gI9lsO ) that Joel Berman opened the keyboard-sized case in front of his wife and 6-year-old granddaughter Wednesday night in Oceanside, on Long Island.

Something about this story doesn't "feel" right. The USPS, yeah. But UPS, I doubt it. With UPS, everything is numbered and traceable, etc. And the big clinker in the story; How did a UPS pkg addressed to a guy in Arizona wind up in Oceanside, NY? I once had a girlfriend in Woodside. 😊
