I don’t know where it is, but I used to own the initial cover for Lynyrd Skynyrd’s album, with the flames behind them; I was about 16 or so.

I understand now it’s worth a lot of money given what happened to the group.

Oddly enough, I think it was destroyed in a fire in our house thanks to a dry Christmas tree.

R.I.P. to a great Southern band!

Phillip Glass, Yo Yo Ma, and others write new pieces.

New operas are still being written and recorded.

Paul McCartney wrote something in the “classical” concept (instant classical?).

Orchestral or chamber might be more appropriate terms.

Sometimes they get their act in order.

George Michael, when all is said and done, will have passed due to AIDS. But.. That will never be admitted.

I thought it was heroin, but taking/giving it up the pooper didn't help, I'm sure. Lifestyle, lifestyle, lifestyle...

The famous ones die when the “contract” they signed is up and called in.

The (IMHO) greatest American musician, Michael Rabin, died at 36 when, after polishing the parquet floor in his kitchen, slipped on it and hit his noggin on a chair, killing him.

Roger Daltrey is an exercise and fitness nut. He is in better shape than most men half his age. The same goes for Springsteen. He is able to give four hour concerts several days a week on tour even though he is eligible for Social Security.

They probably have not been drug addicts, chain smokers, and/or alcoholics.

Bon Scott of AC/DC only made it to 33 y.o.
Kurt Cobain was 27 y.o.
Jim Morrison was 27 y.o.
Janis Joplin was 27 y.o.
Jimi Hendrix was 27 y.o.

It seems the letter "J" is also rather unhealthy!

My favorite genres yield some that have died.

And I WOULD rather die than switch genres :)

I’d rather die than live in a world without Rock n Roll.

And I got bad news for ya, the VERY VAST majority or rockers stick around for a long time.

It’s sad when they die young, but we won’t leave the mark the Janice Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, Moon, Bonham an others left on the world.

Everyone’s so worried about living as LONG as possible.

What good is it if you live for and contribute nothing?
