Stunned by today’s press conference? So were the broadcast and cable news network anchors who led special coverage. Here’s what they had to say right after Pres. Trump finished his remarks:
ABC: “What a remarkable window into the state of mind of the President of the United States right there.” – George Stephanopoulos, 2:12 p.m. ET.
CBS: “Well, a remarkable news conference…” – Scott Pelley, 2:12 p.m. ET.
NBC: “Pres. Trump concluding an hour and 10 minute long session with reporters in the East Room…” – Lester Holt, 2:12 p.m.
CNN: “Wow, what an amazing an hour and 15 minute briefing by the President of the United States.” – Wolf Blitzer, 2:13 p.m. ET.
Fox News: “Wow. Well, all righty then, that was some press conference.” – Melissa Francis, 2:12 p.m. ET.
MSNBC: “Well, that was a doozy of a press conference.” – Katy Tur, 2:12 p.m. ET.
Fantastic. He covered an amazing amount of material. Too bad the press wasn’t listening. The people definitely are and heard him loud and clear.
Obama could talk for a half an hour and say squat.
He ran circles around them and they’re still spinning around trying to figure out what the hell just happened.
I haven’t seen it.
Apparently the media didn’t like him (no surprise).
As far as rational people are concerned, did President Trump perform well?
All I’ve heard is that he guessed that his EC vote victory was the biggest for a Republican since Reagan, and that this guess was not completely on target (Bush Sr did better).
If that was the “low point” then I suspect that President Trump performed well. But I’m curious about what others thought.
If you have ever seen a video of those big deck guns on a WORLD WAR TWO Battleship firing at same time...Broadside...that’s what TRUMPS presser was he was like pounding the beach for the Normandy invasion...Go Mr President!
Sometimes I get the idea this whole “chaos” impression is just Trump punking the “media.” They will never figure him out.

Trump handed the media & Dems their a$$es on a platter over and over again, relentlessly.
He dispensed information & then crushed the press.
this was not a press conference - it was The Trump Show and it was better than anything on prime time.
I heard parts of it. He was brilliant.
In particular, he showed that he knows a great deal about how the MSM works, who’s ratings are better and who’s are worse, etc.
He also delivered at least one scathing blow to Hillary, mocking her about her “stupid reset button” with pretty much the same level of snark as anyone here at FR could manage.
There were times in the news conference when he literally sounded like a FReeper, making the same points in much the same language.
And Trump told them this several times, right to their faces.
Shep Smith should have been fired for his Katrina coverage, not to mention the hysterical blather he embarks on a daily basis.
IMHO, are we watching another Barbara Walters wanna be with the same career MO? Makes you wonder.

A lot of red meat for conservatives. Besides Hillary’s plastic reset button and giving away our uranium (why that wasn’t a big moment in the press at the time), he said something that made me laugh out loud (for real).
He told the CNN reporter that he would no longer use the term Fake News to describe CNN. The reporter smiled. Trump said he was now using the term VERY Fake News. The reporter almost cried.
He started with a long list of accomplishments he made in a few weeks that stunned all in the room. There is no chaos, just a fine tune machine. That the news was chaos and losing all credibility.
He’s giving them a chance to clean up their act before he has to act ,LOL
He kicked tails and called people out. Those who asked him real questions got great, informative answers. Those who asked him the same questions repeatedly got the Trump treatment. It was very very awesome.
