The citizens of Chili living in the effected area since 1879 may not be to happy about this. Including some of my distant cousins.

If Bolivia and Chile fight, Chile wins.

Next question?

Bolivia does not want to solve outstanding problems with Chile via a confrontation.

It’s not like you stand a chance anyway.

After 138 years, I’d say it’s time to let it go.

It's my understanding that Chile, today,is a civilized, stable country...at least by Latin American standards. It's also my understand that Bolivia is,by *any* standards,a filthy 4th World cesspool ruled by a filthy, savage Communist.

If I'm correct in these beliefs I sincerely hope that Chile wins.

Rubbish. Chile has held the territory longer than Bolivia held it. Using the same reasoning Bolivia is using, Spain could claim it’s all Spanish territory, or the Inca empire. (Spain’s claim to Gibraltar is a similar bogus claim)

Bolivia signed away their rights to the territory in 1904 as part of the “Treaty of Peace and Friendship”. No real issue here.

Do I notice a pattern:

crazy communist North Korea - developing nuclear weapons

crazy theocratic Iran - diito, also supporting terrorists in many places

Peronista Argentina - invaded the Falkland Islands

Sandanistas in Nicaragua - invaded Costa Rico

Chavezista in Venezuela - claim a big chunk of Guyana

and now Evo Morales of Bolivia wants a chunk of Chile

Can’t the radical left-wing of the world live in peace with anybody???

Why would anybody submit to the ICJ over a matter involving their own sovereign territory?
