Sounds like he could be using “wet”. People do some crazy, out of character behaviors while using it, and blackouts are part of the package. “ Wet” is embalming fluid used to soak pot or cigarettes, and then is smoked. A friend of mine was assaulted in his sleep a couple of months ago but someone using this nasty stuff. His roommate has a nephew who uses it. People get stupid and violent while under the influence.
