Nordstrom insists its line of Ivanka Trump products, ranging from professional sheath dresses and black pumps, wasn’t selling well, so it had to be dropped. So what did it pick up? High-wasted, acid-washed mom jeans, complete with see-through knees, selling for $95 a pop. Make a dandy Christmas present. Just be sure to get the gift receipt and I’m thinking you better get them now; dollars to donuts there won’t be a pair on the shelf by June. Personally, I’m holding out for version 2.0; I hear they are the reverse.

Since Feb 27 Nordstrom stock price has gone from $47.61 to $44.38 as of 11:14 am today.

Nordstrom announced around Feb 3, 2017 it would stop selling Ivanka's brand.

It's way off its 6 mth high of $60.75 (Dec 9, 2016).

I was thinking about that. If you can believe it, I was an extra on the movie for about a month. I actually thought it was pretty funny when I saw it at the movies. (I couldn’t find myself, lol!)

I'd file this one under

Does that “futuristic feel” include the clammy feeling of sweat and adhesion anywhere in the US warmer than 65 degrees?

That numbing cold of shear plastic against a bare leg at anything colder than 45 degrees?

They would break in sub-freezing temperatures.

Jeezy—Nordstrom was our go-to store for clothing back in the early 80’s when we were beginning our ascent of the corporate ladder.

I have never been able to understand how a person could be compelled to buy new $90.00 denims and cut holes in them. But, this takes stupidity to a new level.

Total rip-off from the movie So Fine starring Ryan O'Neal back in the early 80s. The difference being the placement of the clear parts. (knees versus backside)

“selling for $95 a pop”

$95 really? It’s gonna take $95 to go out in public and look like an idgit?

It never occurred to Nordstrom executives that a more correct name for the line like Knee Jerk jeans might emerge?

They are way ahead of their time, apparently attempting to fill the niche to be left wide open at the presumptive demise of KMart.
