Tad Cummins, a 50-year-old married former high school teacher and Elizabeth Thomas, his 15-year-old former student, have been missing for more than a week -- without any sightings.
Here's a timeline of the alleged abduction and the events leading up to it:

News is reporting he did online searches for “teen marriage” and also whether his vehicle could be tracked..
This is aggravated statutory rape in Tennessee. Not sure of max penalties. When the perp is an adult and more more than four years older than the minor victim, penalties are enhanced
Typical pedophile.
Yeah, sounds like a typical pedophile.
I would almost bet the farm he went after a kid before this. Maybe he has a record in another state..And maybe under a different name.
That poor girl.
A lot of the content on her Instagram is really depressing. She may be trying to find something or someone to fill voids in her life and this creep managed to groom her or make her believe that life will be better if they run away together.
I’m really surprised that a fifteen year old hasn’t been on her social media in a week.
That happens a lot. I'm "friends" with a local girl that has really been struggling in the world of relationships. I suppose that we all do that that age (around 20 or so), but she puts it out there.
I'm kind of in an awkward position - I obviously want to help, but I also don't need to be the dirty old man that tries to take over her life. I offer encouragement and all that, but I try to keep my distance. I'm not that teacher guy, that's for sure. But still, I want her life to straighten out for her.
You and I are in a similar neck of the woods. Good area in which to live.
I like it!
If she uses any electronic communication device, she will be found. I’ve recently met a Lady who can do it. Her skills at tracking via electronic systems is amazing.
The stuff of science fiction is real.
If she uses social media, her phone should be active enough to geolocate. At the very least, the social media service could pull the IP she used to access the service, which could narrow down the area in which she is located.
It could be that he has turned off their phones or they ran out of power. I suppose if he has thought ahead enough, he may have bought bags that can block RF transmissions so even on standby a phone won’t be able to poll local towers and give away its location.
I’d expect a teenager, and for that matter a teenage girl to be angsty and sometimes depressed. Could be teenage girls are much more willing to share their feelings in the social media age.
I think it was reported the last location of her phone was around Decatur, AL.. that was last week.
