FULL TITLE: Muslim man is beaten to death by Hindu 'cow vigilantes' in India after they launched an attack on trucks transporting the animals for slaughter
A Muslim man beaten by a mob that accused him of transporting cows for slaughter has died in western India.
Police confirmed Pehlu Khan died on Tuesday after sustaining fatal injuries when he and 14 other men were brutally beaten three days earlier in Rajasthan state.
His death comes amid increasing violence being carried out by Hindu vigilante groups enraged over treatment of cows - which they consider sacred.

I was riding in a bus in India many years back when we hit a big bump. The driver hit the brakes, turned very white for a very brown man and dashed outside. He returned shortly after smiling and looking very relieved. Come to find out he had been terrified he hit a cow. Instead he ran over a boy and killed him.
We need more diversity.

India is one big cluster of misguided and foolish beliefs and rituals..including touching the red (so called) menstrual blood of an idol for a blessing!

All religions have beliefs and rituals that seem foolish to outsiders. I don’t care as long as they aren’t called on to enforce them on non-believers.
Of course those that were responsible should answer for the death; all religions aside, natural law demands it.
In most of India, it is illegal to transport for slaughter or kill a cow. So, I take ubrage with the title - Hindus being labeled vigilantes against muslims. Hindus believe animals contain the souls of humans incarnating or reincarnating. Killing a cow could be damning a soul. It’s not a Christian belief, but it’s their belief, codified in law.
Hindu cows are vigilantes? Who knew?
